I must admit, I’ve never seen a 2 piece full length forend on a modern double!!!
Deep relief engraving is fantastic!!

Awesome!!

Congratulations and can't wait to see the finished product!

Bailey is a special fellow and we are so blessed to have him building our heirloom rifles.

Looks like you have everything covered! Congratz

Bailey isn’t just one of the finest gunmakers in the US… he is genuinely a super nice and incredibly humble guy… he and his wife are truly nice people…

Congrats on the rifle… that’s a true work of art…

The heart wants what it wants, but can I ask why you have so much overlap in cartridge abilities? Arguably you could have gone with a 470 and called it quits. Regardless, it will be a great rifle!

Honestly just for the fun of it.

But I figured if I was going to go through the expense of having a custom rifle made and waiting two years I would make it as nice as I could, as this will most likely be the only custom rifle I ever order. I would hate that if in a decade or two or three I wanted to dip my toe in 500 NE instead of 470 NE or 450/400 NE or vice a versa and didn’t pull the trigger on getting the extra barrel sets and then would have to buy an additional rifle for what I guessing will be substantial more expensive in decades to come. Plus now I’m covered in case I get charged by a woodchuck like in that other thread :).

You’ll get many years of enjoyment from it!

I've been intrigued by Baileys work. Congratulations on getting your order(s) placed. I hope you take us long on the journey as the build progresses. Now the waiting begins.

I'll take the Vortex scope cover you have listed in the Pay it Forward thread.
