I just had Griffin & Howe import two new Heym doubles and they tucked them in under the forearm, was surprised since BV does them in the same place ahead of the forearm (had an 88b 500NE that a hud traded me that had come in from Canada).

I am the individual who ended up contacting reckoner directly about this rifle and subsequently made the purchase. I had been cautioned by a couple of friends, including one Canadian, who suggested that this might be a bit risky. However, after talking directly to the seller, I was completely at ease with proceeding with the transaction. My initial impression was subsequently confirmed by the entire process of purchasing the rifle and scope. After just a couple of phone calls back-and-forth to confirm details a check was mailed by the USPS. Once the check cleared, the seller packed up the rifle and got it sent to an import export service called Borderview. The seller handled all necessary arrangements to get the rifle into the United States. I have the good fortune of having a friend with an FFL. The folks at Borderview were able to ship directly to my friend without difficulty. I got the rifle a few days later, and it came perfectly packaged and as advertised in the initial sales offer. The entire process took about seven weeks. Part of that time includes intermittent delays on my part to keep the process moving forward. Overall I could not be more pleased with the level of communication as well as the expedient handling and processing of everything necessary to make this transaction occur. I highly recommend doing business with the seller and would buy another rifle from him again tomorrow if I needed one.
