Hello all, please read the entire post! Long story short I’m going to Paris for some sightseeing in less than a month and have received a quote for a last minute roe deer hunt. To be able to go on the hunt I must sell a few things, these rifles are top of the list so I’m offering them here for what I believe are reasonable prices to try to fund the hunt.
The rifle with the scope is a No 3 in .223, the scope is a cheap scope of which I place no value in the sale, although it shoots quite accurately with it. The .223 is in original configuration with some handling marks and small hairline crack towards the rear of the forend. It was there when I purchased the rifle and I have multiple boxes through the rifle and the crack hasn’t moved one bit so I am confident it’s not a functional issue, however full transparency it is there. Priced at $975 plus shipping
Second rifle is a No 3 in 45/70, has “turn in” style rings. I have not shot this rifle so I cannot speak to the accuracy however the bore is very good so I would expect zero issues. Rifle has an altered forend and buttstock. Minor handling marks and some bluing wear on the edges of the lever. Priced at $950 plus shipping
For your additional consideration I have a few “extras” that could be added to a sale for an additional price.
I have one factory Ruger no 1 buttstock for sale for $225 plus $10 shipping. It will fit on the Ruger no 3s as well without any modifications.
I also have a Ruger no 1/3 unfinished forend and buttstock for sale that needs final minor inletting and finishing for $250 plus $10 shipping for the set.
Finally I also have 33rds of factory 45/70 I will include in the sale for $2 a round(will only sell with rifle)
