Anyone know what is up w/ Winchester Ammo's discontinued offerings?

The sample size of Australia is a fraction of the US Market, and likely a very small percentage of Winchesters total overall global sales. When looking at manufacturing we need to look outside of our immediate needs/knowledge and how it pertains to the larger market.
The #1 mistake I think retailers (regardless of industry) make is letting their personal bias cloud business. Not carrying or selling a product because they don't like it, don't know about it, or don't understand it.
I live in Texas, 350 Legend isn't super popular since it's designed for states with straight wall regulations, but you'd be surprised how many have been sold in Texas. I bet it outsells 35 Whelen at least 5:1 reason being, it expands when suppressed and run at subsonic velocities. Many other 30cal projectiles have struggled to do in a 300Blk meaning some Hog Hunters are shooting it and really liking it. Now I'm not saying it'll be around for the next 100 years, but it's more popular than you'd think and in some states exceeds .308 Win or .223/5.56 Rifle Sales
I have a buddy
His sister and her family in tx.
His nephew was going to get a first rifle for hunting.
They came here on a vacation during the summer.
The boys dad was liking hard at a ar in 223.
My buddy and I let him try a few different rifles
A 243 my 6 and a few different versions of the ar 44 mag
He like my m177 clone but the stand out was my hog ar in 350l. They like the big bullet and no noticeable recoil
They like the price of the ammo at that time cheaper than the 243-6 and 44
From what they were saying where they were at it would be more hog hunting than deer.
So they all desided on the 350l

They definitely do sell here in Texas but not like they do in the straight wall states or somewhere like Louisiana where it’s legal during their muzzleloader/primitive weapons season.

A few others have said it already, but 350L popularity lies primarily in its MSR platform, which is appealing on several fronts, not the least of which is its cheap and easy switch barrel option; one can go from 350L down to 223 and up to 50 should one so desire. The Blaser aficionados on this site wouldn't argue with that.

@Flbt while there's no denying the 359 is popular in the USA in Australia with the lack of choice in ammo rifles and virtually no reloading components it never really took off.
For pigs in the scrub it would be ideal but if it's hard to get it takes the lustre off it.
But that's in Australia

Yep I can see that. I think for the most part the 350l will be a American cartridge.
I fougerd it’s like a lot of handguns rounds more popular here

I'll take the Vortex scope cover you have listed in the Pay it Forward thread.
