Right as I saw him, at 31 yards, he came for us. Head down low, full blast. Jan fired two shots from his 500NE, the PH to my left got off two shots from a CZ550 in .375, I got off three shots from the Park West in 416 Rigby. The bull piled up at 9 yards.

To say it was a touch of excitement would be a bit of an understatement!

I moved around the left side and put one more into the spine.

The adrenaline was flowing through everyone!

I asked the tracker to go back to the truck where my wife was waiting, and tell her not to cash the life insurance check quite yet, even though it sounded like WWIII just taken place!

In the pics you can see the scrub brush where he started the charge and where it was finished.

I am sitting in KC awaiting my third flight, this one to Chicago.

Jut finished up a week at Limcroma. This started as a buffalo hunt donation purchase this past year at SCI in Nashville.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the week +. The food was awesome, accommodations were great, tracker and PH super professional, and it was a lot of fun sharing the campfire each evening with other hunters.

Rifles taken:
Parkwest Arms in 416 Rigby, using Swift 400 grain factory ammo.
Blase R8 in 30-06, with a suppressor, using Norma 180 rain factory ammo.

Animals taken:
Cape Buffalo
Golden Wildebeest
Sable


A true pleasure watching /working with our tracker “Lucky”. Simply unbelievable.

A few pics to get the tease started. Let’s just say that we hunted hard (5 days) for a buffalo. Lots of stalks, searching for tracks, etc.

Once we found and got on a couple of bulls it became……interesting.

Perhaps it was the “Safety Third” hat
