What an absolute joy that will be!!! The beautiful Mrs. Rare Breed would never let me go to that…a very wise woman! lol!!!

Big props and appreciation to Hornedfrogbbq for checking out an item I’m interested in!

A gentleman and a scholar!

All, you will surprise no one in this sale...there may be bargains but it is an incredible gathering of folks and weapons. I was in awe.

I sent a bunch of you pics, videos or reviews on over 30 guns. Most were impressive but some had issues I tried to point out. Good luck to everyone.

My guess is there are doubles and bolts that will go at a value and at least one or two that will be in the 6 digits. And not low 6 digits.

I honestly wish they had all the cases put there as well but they don't have enough room. I had 2 of the rifles taken back to the sp3cialist to get a magnifying lense on some stuff folks were interested in.

I absolutely learned a ton. Next big sale they have I propose a cocktail party amd/or dinner. I met collectors from all over the US. Geeking out with gun nerds and cocktails just sounds like too much fun not to propose.

If you have a question on a lot, let me know. I did look at a bunch but I mean, not more than 2% of the whole sale. I spent no time on handguns (hundreds plus), modern military or shotguns. There will be some huge ticket shotguns.

Good luck!

One last reminder -- 8.25% sales tax potential (or your state maybe...that is TC where I am) PLUS 17.5% buywrs premium to be paid. It is consequential.

And yes, the sales tax is by the home/receiving state. The Westley Richards 450/400 I bought from them, wanted JJ to give a looksie and fix whatever needed. Figured it would save shipping direct to him vs shipping to Alaska to turn around and ship to Oklahoma.

NOPE! Might save a couple hundred in shipping, but was told it would cost me north of $1,000 in sale tax. Even though I’m the buyer, in Alaska where we do not have state sales tax, if shipping to Oklahoma, the receiving states sales tax rate applies.

@Hornedfrogbbq looked over several rifles for me and provided detailed feedback for use in (questionable-according to my wife) good decision making. Very much appreciated!

I can’t believe some of the prices these guns are selling for!!! Holy smokes!!!

boy someone wanted that VC really bad to pay $30k before bp!

That VC was really as nice a VC as you would find, but how in the world it yielded $35k+ is beyond me.

Even the Westley Richards 470, with BP it went for $120k. I don’t get it when Westley Richards had a super mint drop lock 577 at SCI with prettier wood and same meh engraving in a gorgeous case for $95k.

Some things will just surprise us I bet. I expected the Holland and Holland 30/06 to go above the low estimate since it had such gorgeous wood and engraving, and folks love the history when ordered by a military officer, which I get the potential historical mystique of a British officer or major American leader from WWI or WWII, but one from the late 70’s seems less significant to the rifle, still cool, but figured the corrosion and pitting all over the Holland scroll on the barrel would bring it down some…nope! Went for $4k over the high estimate before BP.

Several results just left me scratching my head and asking myself what the hell do I know. Other than a particular bolt gun I’m interested in the last day is likely going to cost me if the trend continues.

Question. Where can one see the results? I can’t seem to find them.

Not sure the results will be shared. If you have a proxybid account you can add to your watchlist and see what the strike price was.

My view…fwi…this sale seems to have a lot of pent up cash to invest. I do wonder how indicative that is to longer term inflation and the base value or arms in general. Possibly collective fear of the next recession and expansion of money supply…maybe I’m overthinking it.
