Or one that doesn’t shoot superbly. So I roll with a Heym.

I agree, in these days of black plastic rifles, blue steel and Walnut is more & more attractive! If nothing is happening on your set up, you can admire God's creation with a pretty rifle on your lap!

Beautiful, and I agree, I'm ugly enough, beautiful rifles and Wife makes life much easier to navigate ; ]

Must admit if you ever see a pic of Wife and i, look closely at edge of photo, good chance you'll see her walking stick and seeing eye dog, girl must be blind:cool: as a bat hanging with me.

A truer' Statement has never been spoken......although I'm sure are some on this forum that will digress into "a rifle is just a tool" or "my rifle gets the job done and I want to hunt more". Life can be summed up into 2 camps of men, ones that picks up the hottest chick at the party, or, the guy that leaves with the fat chick. There is a difference, so no to-------> beauty is in the eye of the beholder bullshit, there is a difference.

@Wildwillalaska
As much as I like nice rifles I would prefer to shoot with an ugly rifle that's accurate and reliable than a pretty rifles that ain't accurate.
Fortunately my ugly rifles and nice rifles are very accurate and reliable.
My Whelen is a Savage 110 with a plastic stock, not real pretty and my 85 lowall is beautiful. Both accurate and function well so happy days.

@50Gunner
The only reason my wife went out with me is because I shot her seeing eye dog and stole her white stick.
I fell out of the ugly tree and must have hit every branch on the way down. Fortunately when I was young meat was cheap so mum would tie a sausage around my neck so the dog would play with me.

Life's to short no matter how long one lives above ground.

Unfortunately no one can hunt every day of the year. So it's best to hunt as often as one can no matter how pretty or ugly the firearm is.

Its all about making memories to reflect back on when, eventually, the time comes to not being able to hunt.

LOL, same/same, I'm with you Big Bob, friends meeting her for the first time would say, Good God, congrats man, our sincere condolences ma'am ; ]

It remains more than good fine Sir, all we have to be is their man, not their sister, not their pen pal buddy, not their girlfriend, not their mama, their man, give 'em a shoulder and an ear when they need it, take care of our rifles and die protecting our Women, the easiest job on earth.

Nobody loves you like a fat chick!!!!

You make me laugh. I didn’t ‘pick my wife up’ anywhere. Now 44 years later, she’s still the most wonderful woman I’ve ever met. Keep your bar fleas. And the cost of a gun, or anything else, doesn’t make you a better man.

Cost has nothing to do with it my friend. Congrats on 44 years, that’s a rare accomplishment, my folks made it 66 years. Keep up the good work, gives the rest of us hope.

Nice Report! Im about to pull the trigger on booking the LDE with Patrick. I have been talking about it with him for about 3 yrs now. Romain hit me up the other day with an offer I can't refuse for 2027.

Andrew, I commented that your on 375 H&H for sale was the fair price.

Like I commented, my classic stainless has the original 24” barrel.

Did you buy yours with the barrel already cut down to 21” or did you do it (or a gunsmith)?
