What would you build with a CZ 550 magnum action?

Hi all,

I have a CZ 550 magnum action, and now I have a conundrum…what caliber of rifle should I build with this?

I have a 375H&H, 404 Jeffery, and a 470 double rifle. It’s a great battery for Africa hunting, but the potential to build a custom rifle interests me.

What would you build?
 
416 Rem or Rigby, 458 Lott or Win Mag, 505 Gibbs, 500 Jeffery, 500 A2, 550 Magnum, 585 Nyati, 600 Overkill (the last two really depends on who your gunsmith is and if he knows how to set it up properly)…. You have a wide array of possibilities here to fill every need/want
 
Since you have a 375, 404 and 470 I’d build a 300 H&H to give yourself a premier plains game option.
 
Nothing too exotic. You already have 375 and 404 so I think 416 Rigby or 458 Lott are next in line as "African" magnums. Or perhaps step down to 300 H&H which if I recall correctly does require magnum length action. Maybe 9x62 but I think those will fit in standard length action. No sense of wasting that expensive action building something sub-magnum.

If I had this action, and wanted to use it on African DG, I think I would go with .416 Rigby. I have never even shot this caliber, I have just always wanted one since reading Ruark and his adventures with Harry Selby.
