Also sad to see that Duffy seems to be either in over his head or tone deaf in sorting out the chronic airline screw up habit and culture. From lost and delayed checked bags to delayed flights, the obvious has gotten progressively worse over the last few years, beginning well before Covid. Don’t ever think airlines won’t lie directly to the public or to you as a customer.
Remember when Delta sold their fleet of 777 extended range planes and opted for the Airbus 350 for their ATL to JNB to ATL long haul? They immediately started to re-route some of the JNB to ATL flights to Boston claiming they had experienced “unpredicted weather and headwind conditions” mid-flight over the Atlantic so had “NO CHOICE” but to re-route to Boston. A total load of bull crap lie. They forgot (or thought no one would check) that flight tracker data had gotten so good that each flight path was recorded in real time and the data could easily be recalled. Each flight path is recorded with near perfect accuracy. After one of the Delta flights from JNB to ATL was re-routed to Boston, with Delta saying the flight path had to be changed while over the Atlantic due to weather/headwind… I pulled up the flight tracker data for that flight. The flight left JNB on a heading far north of the normal path for Delta flights JNB to ATL, crossing the Africa coast in a straight line path to Boston. Delta made the decision to go to Boston before even leaving JNB! Turns out the Airbus 350 being used was marginal for that distance to begin with plus Delta was maxing out the freight load (think $$$). Boston was barely within the safety max range and Atlanta wasn’t. I guess the lying had a life expectancy and adjustments were made to the freight allowance so haven’t heard any more of the Boston routing for the ATL flights. Either that or the weather patterns and winds aloft have changed.

To think airlines don’t or won’t lie about such things is delusional.
