Really excited coming out of SCI!!! For perspective, I have had the most incredible elephant hunt with @Tokoloshe Safaris for a 15-25 pound chance with my taking a 20 pounder!!! The value hunt at $18,000 is simply unbeatable and I highly encourage people on their first elephant hunt to talk to them! In 2028, I want to hunt a larger elephant and looked into both Moz and again, Zim. Moz is just too high a cost for me although not exportable you have the chance to take an 80 pounder at a cost about half the price of $1,000 per pound which is a great value just too much for me. @TSALA HUNTING SAFARIS is an excellent choice here and I am so excited to hunt my leopard with them in Moz in 2027!!! At this time the lovely Mrs. Rare Breed would put my head up on my trophy room wall if I did the elephant hunt though!!!

Enter @MATTANJA HUNTING SAFARIS , I am super excited to be hunting a trophy elephant with them in August 2028 for 12 days in Zim for an awesome value!!!! Could not be happier!!! I will be looking for a 40+ pounder for my second elephant!!! My PH will be Dieter Prinsloo who I am super excited to hunt with! Many thanks to Bryan Pettet for his help!!!

So, for 2026 a daughter's wedding no Africa, 2027 Leopard hunt with @TSALA HUNTING SAFARIS in Moz taking my Rigby HS in 275 Rigby, in 2028 a trophy elephant with @MATTANJA HUNTING SAFARIS taking my Rigby DR in 450 NE!!!!

We are excited to have you select @MATTANJA HUNTING SAFARIS for your 2nd elephant. The area is Matetsi ECA, next to unit 1 and 4.

Very happy for you my friend!

Congratulations @Rare Breed . Was talking to a fellow AHer today. If your ears were ringing, it was because we were talking about you and your hunt w/ @Tokoloshe Safaris .

After an unsuccessful look into returning to Alaska for brown bear, I’m redirecting back to Africa for Ele for’28. Your reports played a big factor in the decision.

Thank you.

Looking forward to a 2028 Rigby DR and elephant hunt report!

Sounds like we will need to publish a follow up Rigby Community in the Field story!

Thank you, Craig, for your kind words again good luck on your upcoming hunts.

Congratulation on getting your hunt list sorted. You will enjoy your hunt with Dieter @MATTANJA HUNTING SAFARIS , we hunted with him late fall last year. I finished out the tiny ten with him and my wife took a very nice eland. I also want to thank you for the call on @Tokoloshe Safaris , based on your recommendation and others we are hunting DG with them in 2028.

also congratulations on your daughters upcoming wedding. Best of wishes to them.

Thanks Dave!!! Was great seeing you and your lovely wife at SCI! Both @Tokoloshe Safaris and @MATTANJA HUNTING SAFARIS two great outfitters who I think the world of!!!!! I asked the lovely Mrs. Rare Breed if I could wear a leopard pattern cumber bun with my tux since I can't go to Africa this year at our daughter's wedding?...for some reason she did not think that was funny at all!!!!!

You should ask your daughter what she thinks of the idea:A Stirring:

Congrats and I wish you a safe and very successful hunt!!

That Matetsi ECA seems interesting as it spans across many blocks and park boundaries. Looks like it could be promising!

Who will be the Zim PH joining yall I wonder?

Cheers

Steve Meyer is the Zim PH that Dieter works with.

Matetsi ECA is an interesting area for sure. From Dieter...
The Matetsi ECA(Extended Conservation Area) is adjoined directly to Matetsi Unit 1 and Unit 4 and covers an area of roughly 80 000 Acres to hunt. A significant distinction between the ECA and other Matetsi Units is that the ECA permits night hunting of nocturnal species. All hunting quotas are issued by National Parks, and a National Parks representative is present during all elephant, lion and leopard hunts.

The Matetsi ECA is also a prolific Buffalo area with a good change of getting a large trophy bull. Elephant hunting is also very successful in the area. Matetsi is also well known for its big Tom Cats, full maned Lions, large Sable Bulls and massive Livingstone Elands. The game movement in the ECA is excellent due to lots of water and the success rate is close to 100% for all large game animals.

The camp is a short 45 minute drive from Victoria Falls International Airport where you will be welcomed to the wilderness of Africa! Situated on a hill top overlooking the valley below, the camp has two thatched roof, on-suite chalets sleeping two persons each. The hunting areas’ proximity to Victoria Falls also makes it possible for day trips.

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
