This is my first post here, and I’m still learning about double rifles, so I’d appreciate any recommendations or advice.

I have my first trip to Africa planned for 2027 and would like to purchase a double rifle before I go. For this initial hunt, I plan to focus on plains game, but I plan to return for dangerous game in the future. My goal is to have plenty of time to practice with the rifle before pursuing any dangerous game so I’d like to take it on a handful of hunts before I go.

I’m primarily considering a .375 H&H, .450-400 Nitro 3”, or possibly a .470 Nitro. Ideally, I’d like something regulated for a factory load, but I do have reloading equipment and would be willing to work up a load if necessary.

I’m currently selling off several rifles I no longer shoot to help fund this purchase, and with that in mind, I’d like to keep the budget under 12k.

@Tanks mentioned having a true left handed Vernon Carrey double rifle he would be willing to sell in another thread here recently. You might want to reach out to him and see if he still would be willing to sell.

There was another forum member who had a left handed Heym he offered for sale last year. I apologize but I do not remember which member had the Hyem for sale. I am sure a search of the forums would probably turn that thread up as well.

As a fellow lefty, I wish you luck in your search.

I don't think a new VC in .450NE fits a budget under $12K

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
