Description
This rifle is an Adam Schurk drilling in 7x57R / 20ga. The sale includes 200 rounds of Sellier & Bellot ammunition.

From internet research "... he was a German gunsmith based in Munich, Germany, active during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He is known for crafting high-quality combination guns, particularly drillings. While detailed biographical information on Adam Schurk is scarce, his work exemplifies the craftsmanship of German gunmakers of that era. Drillings like those made by Schurk were prized for their versatility and the skill required to produce them".

This is one of the side by sides with the rifle barrel as a third barrel down below the shotgun barrels right?

Hell of a cool gun, glws!

Nice gun.
I showed the post to my grandnephew.
He and his buddies were talking about combo guns this weekend.
He said he could not buy it but would show it to his buddies and his boss
He works at a gun shop in Tallahasse.
I am not saying they will do anything but I didn’t think it would hurt to let them know since they were talking about rifle shotgun combos all ready.

Nice looking drilling.
What are the chokes. I ask because most German drillings are choked extra full and full.

great question. Need to borrow a choke gauge to check. Will get back to you

What is the function of the side lever?
EDIT: I didn’t notice the top lever this gun has. Thanks PerH. Generally if there’s a side lever and a top lever, one of them opens the gun and one selects whether to be firing the shotgun barrels vs rifle barrels. The rest of my comment is no longer relevant now that I realize this but I’ll leave it for context and neat info

It releases the action to allow the barrels to be tilted down. It is much more difficult to make well, and thus usually only available on very *very* expensive guns. If you want a side lever side by side (shotgun or rifle) spending probably a minimum of 30-50k if you want new manufacture. It’s most often seen on Purdey and Holland and Holland guns, although it was more common a long time ago, like on this 1870’s double shotgun of mine (which is not safe to fire currently but you get the idea)

Sidelever on the drilling can be selector for which of the barrels to be fired , since I can’t see a switch on the opener lever

made some measurements and it looks like a modified constriction (0.6")

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
