SCI Convention 2026 - Who Is Joining Me?

I was looking at the same issue, so I didn't buy the senior life through the convention link (kept adding the cost of the convention pass). Called SCI directly yesterday and bought the senior life. They took all my info for the convention pass. Only had to pay for the membership. The unexpected part was they said there is an Argentina dove hunt as a perk to buying a life membership. Have to see what that entails when they send the membership packet.
Really never saw that

Well, I have decided I made a mistake not going to TTHA/DSC/or SCI this year. Unfortunately, wife will be on a girls trip for SCI so I’m out of luck this year. I’m working and on parental duty. OTOH, she just encouraged me to book a plains game hunt for SA for 2027 and a DG hunt for Mozambique for 2027/8. I am very blessed.

However, I have decided to attend one of the shows next year and meet some of you fine (and not so fine ha ha) people. Looking forward to it. Its a bit of a trip from Alberta, but should be worth it.

so if i get an SCI life membership that covers my floor entry? really want to make the AH dinner this year if possible. What are the best days to attend, and does the SCI show have more to offer than DSC? the floor map appears that way.
Yes and yes! Get your life membership now before the promotion ends. It will give you a full pass to the convention.
The best days are early but it is good the whole time. Saturday is the busiest.
SCI is impressive. Please come and see!

The first few years we attended conventions we attended banquets almost every night…

At this point we haven’t attended a banquet in years…

We bid on auction hunts, but do it online rather than in person… and we much prefer doing the smaller, more private events with other hunting/outdoors organizations, the AH dinners, outfitter gatherings, etc..

We generally have something going on every night of every convention we attend… but it’s never rubber chicken dinner banquets anymore.. :)
everyone should go to a banquet or two just to see the production quality of SCI. It is something to see and nothing else compares to it. None of us enjoy getting too dressed up but a sport jacket will do!

Does the Thursday Night at the Ryman include dinner or just cocktails and munchies ?
It is not dinner just heavy appetizers. Hurry it may be sold out .

I'd really like to bid on some auction hunts, but I know what kind of money will be walking around that place...
Come to the day auction room. Free been and snacks and the better deals. See you there!

Hey @Philip Glass ,

My wife and I will attend SCI in Nashville. Is there a coat room there? I don't want to assume... :)

I was wondering the same thing last night! Thanks for asking!

Bought tickets for me and the missus yesterday. Room booked. My son may even be able to get the time off and join us! He’s a young Paramedic and time off can be hard to come by. Fingers crossed.

I read Dalton and York’s post today regarding their convention plans. Dalton mentioned that he’s unable to attend the conventions this year because of restrictions on Zimbabweans getting visas. York has a non-Zim passport so he will be attending.

Does anyone have a read on the impact of the Visa restrictions on outfitter attendance this year? Are we going to see many empty booth slots?

It’s the first year for this format so I’m not sure.

It remains to be seen.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
