Have heard about this place for years but recently got a recommendation this is a place to come. Can’t wait to join in the conversation.
BTW I’m from the middle of the Cascades in Washington state. We’ve got all the usual critters here - Deer, bear, lion, elk (Rocky and Roosevelt) and plenty of wolves but they’re currently off-limits.

Welcome to AH.

Welcome Wil. I used to visit Tacoma a lot for work about a decade ago, but haven't been back in awhile.

Good day! Welcome!

Welcome from Arlington, WA!

Welcome to the AH community.

Spent 12 weeks at Fort Lewis. LOL, That was enough of Washington State I could stand. Great place to visit......at least once, just not in the summer. LMAO. Heat, humidity, rain, repeat continuously, and them damn fire ants.

You stayed on the wrong side of the mountains brother. I didn’t know they have fire ants on the coast! There’s 3 different climates in this state.

Not sure if you all call them fire ants. But those nasty little buggers burn your hinny, and all other body parts, up when they bite and keep on biting.

I was fortunate to have only been bitten twice on the hand. One poor fellow soldier sat on, or fell into, don't remember which as it's been a "couple" of decades ago, during a night training exercise. He was medivaced to the rear. He looked like he had the measles all over his body. Reminded me of South American army ants. Which are also nasty or nastier buggers.

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.
