THE OPTIC AND RINGS ARE NOT INCLUDED...but the Warne steel scope bases are! Also included are a set of unused RCBS .300 WSM dies, shellholder, and 100 pieces of NEW Winchester-brand .300 WSM brass. This is a rifle I had built by Match Grade Arms in Texas in 2004. Have all paperwork backing up the custom work by MGA. Began with a stainless controlled-feed Model 70 Ultimate Shadow in .300 WSM, but got rid of everything but the action. MGA did the following work: Rebarreled to .300 WSM with a stainless #1 taper barrel; Installed/bedded their lightweight fiberglass stock in "charcoal camo" @13 3/4" LOP; Put a Teflon finish in black on all metal; Installed the MGA Super Eliminator muzzle brake with thread protector; Performed trigger job on Model 70 trigger. I also purchased and sent them both a custom stainless one-piece bottom metal assembly and machined stainless extractor from Williams Firearms Company, which they installed with the build. Cost for all of the custom work alone was $1,550, back in 2004. I have only fired factory loads through this rifle and have fired a a total of roughly 100 rounds over the years. It was sighted in and carried on 2-3 hunts, checking zero @ beginning of each of those seasons. The brake is very effective in mitigating recoil on this light rifle. Was set up to be the ultiimate light yet powerful all-around Western rifle for me, and I chose MGA because they've been around for so long and had a great rep for building light yet accurate rifles. Don't think you could do much better in that regard!your FFL. Thanks for looking!

Sorry I clipped off the price before posting...now I can't figure out how to edit it! Anyway, price is $2,300 shipped to your FFL.

Weight is approx. 7.25 lbs.

Thanks for looking!

Final price drop...$2,000 shipped within CONUS to your FFL. Take a look at the specs on this rifle...would likely cost cost $1,000-$1,500 more to put this together today, IF you could find a new Model 70 CRF action! At approx. 7.25 lbs bare, it's the perfect weight to carry yet not get beat to death when you shoot it. Somebody on here needs this rifle!

Hard to believe no one on AH wants a professionally built, controlled round feed Model 70 that's barely broken in!

Bump for a really cool rifle!

It is a nice gun. I can't buy another gun at this point...but it is a really nice gun.

And a free bump for you :)

Thank you sir! Ought to be a terrific plains game rifle!
For sure. I own two .300 Wby's already....any of the .300 Mags are terrific PG guns.
I just picked up a .416 Rem Win 70 Safari Express...so I will be selling guns now :)

$1,900 shipped to FFL in lower 48.

Bump for the weekend...

Could you get ahold of the buyer by chance? Searched the forum and come across this old listing? Thanks in advance for any help!

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….

I'd like to get some too.

My wife (a biologist, like me) had to have a melanoma removed from her arm last fall.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?
