I have purchased some .330 inch dia 180 grain all copper projectiles from an Australian manufacturer Atomic 29 from South Australia, tried them at the range yesterday at 100 meters, load was in reformed 30/06 WW brass with 56 grains of AR2209 the scope is a fixed 4x Leupold. I am going to buy some more. i am told they perform on game much like the Barnes copper bullets

Impressive.

I’d buy a bunch before they disappear from the face of the earth like everything a guy likes has a way of doing!

@rdog
My son used the 140gn outer edge in his 308 very accurate and great performance.
The 220gn Atomic29 group the same as your 318 in my Whelen at almost 2,900fps. Have yet to try them on game but apparently they are fine for everything upto scrub bull and water buffalo.

Cody these won't go out of business in a hurry. Cameron does a great job. I'm trying to get him to do a run of 110gn 25 cals. He is still working on them.
Here is a couple he made for Anthony George I think. They are for a 600 nitro

Yes i have ord more, it appears that the world is turning to shit, shortage of new cars, toilet paper, primers, bullets powder, but we appear to have no shortage of stupid left wing fools in government.

What velocity do you get from the 318WR? Are they soft enough or do they work like hydro or the Impala we have down here?

They will work on impala. A mate uses them on everything from dingo to buffalo. The blow dingos to bits and leave big holes yet the same bullet will hold together to drive to the off side of a buffalo in my mates 35 Mitchell Express.

They will work fine for the many Australian 318 Westley Richards rifles made in the modern era. Take note, early Westley Richards rifles and their British contemporaries used metford rifling rather than the common cut rifling of lands and grooves we use today. These bullets will not work in those vintage guns.

The only thing that will work in the original guns are the woodleigh softs and solids that will engrave correctly in a "hills and valleys" rifled barrel.

Glad the copper bullets worked for you. Just putting this out there as a public service announcement reminding people with older guns to stock up on the woodleighs wherever you see them because they are the last/sole/only quality bullet remaining for the original rifles.

I do not have a chronograph so i do not know, i am told they perform like the Barnes bullets, they do have a large hollow point, i would guess at velocity about 2650 to 2700 fps, 56 grains of AR2209 same as H4350 is getting up there in pressure signs i have a 25 inch bbl.

Good info i have never thought of that, mine is a new 1in 10 twist button rifled barrel with a very good internal finish it does not copper up & is 25 inch long.
