We hope you are all doing well and looking forward to a phenomenal year as the world opens up faster and faster! This season we have to do a bit of management on our Madikwe East home base as there is currently an unprecedented number of Giraffe on the reserve. Thus we are offering a cull hunt option for 2022 in the hope of some extra numbers being hunted this year! We hunt large self sustaining herds on our home base. Some of which are over 25 animals strong! It is truly fantastic to drive along and see breeding herds of Giraffe as far as the eye can see. Our Madikwe area is a painless 3 and a quarte hour drive from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg where we will collect you personally before heading off to the hunting area. Our camps is a beautiful tented camp in the classic old school "Hemingway style" with some new modern trimmings being built in preparation for the 2022 season. We cant wait to show the improvements off to you!

2x Hunters for 6 days/6 nights $1860
6 old/fully mature Giraffe cows $5920

$340 per cull waterbuck
*Other species both cull and trophy alike can be added

Package includes:
• Licensed Professional Hunter, a Tracker, Skinner and hunting vehicle.
• Accommodation on a full board basis, incl. non-alcoholic drinks and table beer/wine
• Transfer from and to Johannesburg international Airport.
• Transport between and on hunting Area A and Area B
• Laundry service (Except on Sundays).
• Field preparation of Trophies.

Package excludes:
• Flight from and to Johannesburg International Airport, and any national flights from one concession to the next.
• Hard tack (whiskey, brandy etc)
• Firearms and ammunition. (Rifle Hire available at request)
• Hotel accommodation before and after the hunt – if required.
• Taxidermy, packing, insurance, transport.
• Dipping and shipping of trophies.
• Personal expenses ex. Tips, Telephone, Souvenirs etc.

What are your requirements for archery equipment on Giraffe?

We would reccomend a minimum draw weight of at least 80lbs (a modern 75lb bow seems to be equivalent to the older 80lb bows) with an arrow weight of about. 700gr to 750gr. A well constructed 2 blade such as a German kinetic will also be a definite requirement!
