Have an upcoming hunt in September near Kimberley. At least I do as long as the restrictions don't get any worse.

I haven't decided if I'm going to just do Dip & pack or the taxidermist work doe in Africa. The outfitter recommends Splitting Image Taxidermy in Port Elizabeth. Their quality looks good but prices are rather high. Do any of you have experience with Spltting Image or recommendations for others in the area. Looking forward to hearing from you.

I’ve been over 3x’s….. first time used a local taxidermist near the outfitter. Reasonable prices, below average quality. Second time I used a local outfit highly praised out of the JNB area…. Premium prices, average at best work…. Third time, dip & pack back to the USA [emoji631]….. had much more controls of the product from beginning to end. I paid a higher price. However, I would not hesitate to do it the same way again. No more Africa work for me. I’ll post pics of my [emoji631] work

Your Buffalo display is stately and beautiful. I would have never thought a pedestal euro would be more striking than a giant mount. This is ideal. Thanks for posting.

Man, it’s every bit & more than I’d hoped for! @gizmo they got a really good thing going…. With expertise, skill, access, product, all the regs (usda) & broad scope of work. From Ducks, deer, exotics & Africa……they got it down! They are nice to have handy!

Without a second thought gizmo, top of Texas taxidermy. Communication and peace of mind knowing what going on every step of way

I'm also looking for recommendations in the Port Elizabeth/Queenstown area of the Eastern Cape. Splitting Image looks good and very responsive when I've emailed them.
It's not really feasible for me to get mounts done locally since we only have one Taxidermist and he doesn't do African Mounts.

I will vouch for Splitting Image. Charl does nice work and is easy to deal with.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
