Well I ran out of patience. I just couldn’t handle it lol. I cancelled my order the other day and decided to find a rifle already in the US. I had been waiting on a Mauser M12 Pure from Euro Optic. Euro Optic is great to deal with. No complaints there at all. Covid is to blame. As of today I am looking for a bolt action rifle chambered in 9.3x62. I would like to find one with a crf action but will consider push feeds as well. Please respond via pm. I will try and respond as quickly as possible. Thanks in advance for everyone’s time.

I don't know what your budget is, however you can get one built for anywhere from $4K and up depending on the stock you want.

About $1,200 for action another $1,200 or so for barreling. The rest depends on the furniture you put on it.

I should have put this with my original post but here it goes. This may be a tall order for what I want to spend but open sights are a must, only interested in blued steel and walnut at the moment and to avoid wasting anyone’s time my budget reflects the cost of an m12 pure from Euro Optic but I could do a little more for the right rifle. Thank

Thank you. I actually considered doing just that but in the end I’ve decided to see what is “out there”.

Ruger made the M77 on the 9.3 I believe there’s a couple on GB in the 1k range been looking at one myself.

ETa: Just checked there’s still two on there. African models wood and blue 23” tubes both listed as new. I have no affiliation with either. Not sure if acceptable but there’s the links. If I can’t someone else aboard should at least get the chance.

What about re-barreling a current CRF M70 Super Grade? They’ve been out in enough calibers to make finding one with a suitable action/magazine pretty easy.

@Wishfulthinker580 don’t let the lack of sights put you off John Camp’s offer (I’m making an assumption here, my apologies if I am wrong). A good smith could install a banded front and island rear from NECG at reasonable cost. Better yet, you could buy a removable receiver sight and just have the smith install the front sight. The CZ is an outstanding weapon!

How is the condition?
What are asking for it?
It started life as an American but the original purchaser wanted a Lux so he ordered the Lux stock and sights. He shot it 9 times sighting it in and never got back to the project. I have shot it 3 times just to confirm it was an accurate rifle. It is. This was just behind the house and shooting at a cardboard box at 100 yards standing. It gave me 2 inches and that was confirmation. The action was still "zippy" and had a few hitches so a couple of thousand cycles and a little polish on the rails and the follower took care of that. Both stocks have fair wood. They are in good shape but not perfect. They look like they have been in and out of a safe. The only imperfection I see on the steel is the tip of the barrel. It is just a tiny scratch that again likely came from movement in a safe. My intention is to make this a beastly stalking rifle. The plan is to cut the barrel down to 20 inches and put it in a sporter stock, which I have on the way. It weighs 6lbs 14.9 ounces right now in the sporter so after the barrel loses 4 inches it should really be nimble.

I have factory CZ sights that could be installed very cheaply and quickly. I would prefer a banded front sight and a banded swivel as well.

The other rifle is a CZ-550 Standard in .308 that I very recently purchased from Bonk on this forum. It is the same barrel and action but with the Standard Sporter stock and sights.

I would take $1,200 for the rifle in either the American or Lux stock. If someone wanted the Sporter I would need $1,275 to cover my costs on the stock. It would need to be fit/bedded to the rifle. I also have dies, brass, and projectiles that I can sell but I need to do an inventory on what I have. The scope is not included. I have some cheap no-name rings that came with the rifle that anyone can have if they want. If I keep I will get some Alaska Arms rings.

Thanks for the heads up.. I have been checking gunbroker and guns international almost daily. I would like to try and make a deal with an AH member to benefit us both.

That may be the direction I go if I don’t find anything. Definitely a solid, reasonable option.
