Cool, thanks for sharing!

I didn't know Arthur Godfrey was a hunter. My mother was a great fan of his. It was her daily routine to listen to his radio show.

I learn something everyday. Thanks for sharing this interesting and informative story.

Hunting seemed to be an acceptable pastime in those halcyon days!

You wouldn't be allowed to show a picture of an elephant's entrails at the SCI show today.

Yes, this is very interesting.
Thank you.

In the old LIFE magazines (and also in the National Geograpic) are - in the old days - often articles about hunting.
And mostly (ever) in an positive light.
Until the end of the 1960thys..

The good old days when people had some sense and weren't offended at every little thing.

I remember Arthur Godfrey but didn't know he was a hunter. If he did that today, he'd be vilified in social media and lose all his sponsors.

What fun that must have been! Thanks for sharing this amazing bit of history!

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
