Capercaillie?
Blackcock?
Kamchatka brown bear?

Both Capercaillie & Blackcock (black grouse) can be hunted in other European countries

Brown bear can be hunted in Romania too as I think they re-opened it but its now the sub species you mention above.

Kamchatka snow sheep, Dagestan Tur, Altai Maral

Siberian Roe Deer?

Not sure where the boundaries lie or what is considered Europe these days but I've never heard of this animal being hunted in Europe as we know it.

Geographically, up to the Ural mountain range, it is Europe.

At least that´s what I remember from school :D

So, Siberian Roe Deer, an animal I would love to hunt, is Asian.

Tur and several sheep species come to mind.

Siberian Roe had been introduced to what is today south west Poland (Katowice area) in the early 20th century. Depending on the source they have either interbred with native Roe or died out so quite possibly Central European Roe have some Siberian gens in the population.

What about Wolverine? I think they are hunted in Russia.

Thanks for all answers, guys.

I thought there would be some game specific of Taiga/Kamtchaka?

Can you hunt Buhkaran Markhor, Severtsov Argali and Bukharian Urial, Mid-Asian Ibex, Marco Polo Sheep in Russia or only in central Asia (Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan)?

Thanks. I see the birds can be hunted in Scandinavia and Belarus and brown bear can be hunted in Estonia.

Got to go to the "Stans" for Marco Polo...there is a population in China but it is not huntable.

I dont think there are any markhor in Russia. But that is unconfirmed.

Snow Leopard, but not sure whether it can be hunted in Russia. I was reading some tags were becoming available, but I think it was in one of the 'stans.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ
