If you are a serious buyer and have not found an FFL/dealer in your area to order you one, PM me NLT tonight. I have one that will be here either Monday or Tuesday (this one is not for sale), and can possibly have one or two more, but they have to be ordered tomorrow. If you are not familiar with the rifle or the caliber, just Google this thread name.

Curiousity, is this the caliber for 2019 as 6.5x55 was for 2018 in the Lipseys exclusive or is this from years prior?

This is the new caliber for this year. I received mine today. My dealer will receive another on Monday but my understanding is that he will hold on to it for a few months to see if it appreciates after Lipsey sells the entire 250 made.

Interesting. Still see no literature about it on Ruger's website, and last i checked Lipseys, it did not have it either, but checking now on Lipseys I do see it. Thanks for the heads up, I love my 6.5 and my 300 H&H rugers.

Ok, now you have to post details and pictures of the 300 H&H....

well the 300 is a Ruger #1 from about 10 years ago. Not a Hawkeye african. still a ruger though.

Not that I dislike #1's, but I was really getting excited that you had found the M77 Africans in the .300 HH!

this m77 is a great opportunity.
the purchase of a cip spec 9.3x64 reamer from someone like dave kiff, and a boltface modification is a good way to get into the more powerful cartridge in a reasonable manner.
if the ruger action is like a mauser, no mag or rail mods would be required.
then we just need federal and swift to supply factory ammo for those who do no reload and this cartridge might get the recognition it deserves.
250, 286, and 300 gn bullets of sufficient quality for the speeds of the x64 would put it firmly on the planet.
possibly the addition of a 232 bullet at high speed to the factory lineup would add to its versatility.
bruce.

Unfortunately I don't see how we will ever see one in a new Ruger bolt gun. Same reason they came up with the 375 & 416 Ruger... They no longer have, or no longer use, the tooling/equipment to make magnum length actions.

You really know how to ruin a guy's day......

Nice you just need to bring it here to try it out:D

Hi Mike, It very well might be the next rifle I take to Africa. It will take me a while to break it in and get to know it as I am spending most of my current range time with my 9.3x74R Chapuis double I bought nearly a year ago from another member. Being it is my first double, I am still learning the ins and outs of it.
