Check out what I found on GunBroker.com!
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/790598710 older model no muzzle break. 6 left

I saw that! I am wondering when that was made? I wish it had been available when I bought mine because I had to monkey around cutting the threads off the end of my barrel. I will say though that they are still too light...

They are a little light. I would be interested but I just bought a 450/400 in Ruger No. 1

For $667 you can afford to spend some money adding weight to it :)

If I hadnt just finished a 416 Taylor build, I'd be all over this like stink on a monkeys butt..

Looks like mine. I have worked up some mild loads 400 grain A-frames at 2250

Amazing rifles , i have the Alaskan and couldn’t be more satisfied with them .

I have Alaskan in 375 Ruger. Nice rifle.

Two Mercury Reducers in the Stock would get it up to 9 lb. Scope (if you use one) and ammo should get you over 10 lb.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm definitely thinking about it.

Item # 791375600 is $620.70

Looks like the same seller.

Looks like the difference is One Crossbolt, No Front Stock Sling Stud and No Contrasting Front Cap.

I couldn't help myself...directly from Gallery of Guns to local shop for a measly sum of $633, including taxes and shipping.

The first one posted and the one I ordered has a 24" barrel and satin blue finish according to Gallery of Guns, the one posted directly above lists a 23" barrel, matte blue finish as well as the differences @2L8 posted.

Will probably ditch the thin red recoil pad with something a bit softer and maybe add a recoil reducer to the stock, possibly add some weight up front depending on the balance and recoil.

There is a trio of no. 1s in 375 H&H, 416 Rigby, and 458 Lott in stainless with laminated stocks up for bid, too -- a bit pricier at $6,000. My shoulder is already twitching! Fortunately my wallet has developed a case of rigor mortis, too.

but no LH. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I saw a couple LH in 416 ruger a year or so ago. Should have bought them both at (seems like) $750 or so.

What is the weight on these? I’m in the market but like the 9 pound weight of the Model 70.

Listed as 7 lbs, I’ll weigh it when I get my hands on it and it’s relatively easy to add weight.

I was looking hard at a Mod 70 416 RemMag but decided to give the Ruger a go, especially at the price point of $633.
