Awesome! Thanks for sharing!

CLICK those pics and blow them up larger, Excellent details
Thanks !
Lioness is for member here, Mike in Alaska

Outstanding!!!!! And none of all that froofroo to get in the way of incredible work. (y) Dennis, it doesn't get any better than that.

Wow! Better not forget that is in the house, when you're walking to the kitchen in the middle of the night half a sleep!

She looks ready to pounce!

And what is frofro?.

Hey look it is totally a personal taste thing, but I truly don't care for all the shrubbery, icebergs, native dancers, etc that seem to cover and/or fill pedestal mounts these days. For me it just distracts from the taxidermy. Top quality work on a beautifully finished hardwood base is my personal preference. Nothing wrong with all the other stuff, if that is what one prefers. I just think this quality of work is so spectacular anything but perhaps a simple walnut platform base would be a distraction. Or as in this case, nothing at all.

Yes sir. As you said it’s a matter of taste. But for me there are several factors that go into picking a taxidermist. His work, his honesty, communication, and a timely completion . But that’s just the way I like to do business.

Of course. I absolutely agree. You have an excellent pro working yours. I simply noted that this lioness is truly world class, and to my mind at least, the quality of the work benefits from not having to compete with "stuff."

At least I didn’t have to wait 3 years to receive my trophies.

Red Leg I did think of you when I posted :E Dancing::E Dancing:
No FOO FOO
Wait will you see the BIG LION Tomorrow you'll LOVE that also.

It INVOLVES a WALNUT PLATFORM...you speak of !!!

Just need to Scotch Guard her and leave her on the front porch!

I'm thinking just outside the bedroom would guarantee a full night's sleep.

OK. I'm confused. I don't think I am disagreeing with you. I am pretty sure that, I didn't comment on your taxidermy or taxidermist at all in my initial post. I can promise you I wasn't thinking about it.

Dennis, on the other hand, has done a number of fabulous pieces which I think were obscured to a greater or lesser extent by the amount of clutter some of his clients have requested. I remember a mule deer, or maybe it was a sheep, that had all sorts of things going on with it (to include embellishment behind the shoulder). I hasten to add there is nothing at all wrong with any of that. It is all personal taste. I am a minimalist. At the time, I told Dennis that the presentation was hiding a brilliant piece of taxidermy. Just one guy's opinion.

With regard to the lioness, I observed that it was one of the finest pieces of craftsmanship, art if you will, that I have ever seen. I simply noted that the lack of pedestal/base embellishment was a brilliant way to show off that level of perfection.

I have no opinion on how long you have to wait on work. That has nothing to do with my dialogue with Dennis, on the thread he started, complimenting his incredible skill and artistic flair in displaying it.

Like many here, I have followed your and Gizmo's interaction about your latest safari with interest. As I noted in my second post, you are in great hands, and should be very pleased when all those memories are delivered.

Are we good?
