last morning ,I was sitting for boar.No boar, but a roebuck came , I want to go home short before.
Our roebucks, which living deep in the woods, not at the field/wood boundary, you see them so often only once.
This guy ,Ive never seen him before,I shot him high in the neck with my .308 at 18 meter.
Its beautiful in the nature when the day begins, the joy on a nice prey and my family has joy on the meat, the best you can get.
Isn't it good to be a hunter ?

What a scenery.
A friend from the Bavarian mountains sent me this pic.
Hunted last week during the rut.

Nice Roe bucks! I have been smitten by the K95 kipplauf, I've ordered a K95 standard model in 7x65R. Hopefully I should have it by mid December. No Roe deer in New Zealand, but plenty of Chamois and Red deer.

Stug,welcome to the club :)
A perfect combination for your mountain hunting.
Here you see a spectrum of the bullet weights.
Should it has to much recoil, I would try a leadfree bullets.
Share pics please, when your new baby is there.

In summertime ,red roe deer at green meadows- a wonderful view, especially in the mountains.
I love it.
And always a pleasure to hunt (and eat) them.

Foxi, love the layout of these photos and such an exquisite kipplauf. Also, your neighbors are much more beautiful than mine.:) I certainly envy your hunts, thanks for sharing them with me.

Hey Foxi! Beautiful buck! Sorry I'm just seeing this. I haven't been on here in awhile. Trigger is doing great. He's back with Lisa now for Prufing. He should be done this weekend.

the duck hunting season is running now .
Here duck breasts from the morning stalk yesterday.
Marinated in garlic and olive oil for one or two days ,every side 7 minutes with middle heat in a pan or a grill.
A few sauce made with Paprica powder and cream.
Served with fresh fieldsalad ,Ciabatta bred and a Pils or a glass of cold Sylvaner(sometimes it could be two) (y)
Simple things ,but the best of it.

Now you're speaking my language

Decided to go out for a bit Friday morning and check some fields and happened upon some Nile Geese. Luckily one was kind enough to get into shotgun range. Into the pot he went. 4 hours slow cooking did the trick. What a great tasting bird!

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
