This is living,

Congrats on your success.
Goats for the pot!?
Interesting.
Curry recipe or what?
@BRICKBURN
Goat makes the best Rogan Josh
Served with basmati rice, mint yoghurt and nan bread.
Or seared backstrap
Or
Maybe marinades in lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and oregano. Then seared in a hot bbq then slow roasted with the rest of the marinade.
Choices choices choices.
Need more goat, may need to go hunting again.
Bob

Congrats on what I see as an enjoyable hunt @Bob Nelson 35Whelen! Color me green with envy, your report and photos brought back memories of a family deer lease and the camaraderie at the end of the day. Just needs a 9.3x62 involved in your mix.

Oh, C’mon, I think the .243 would at least be good for goats.

Since you like to cook I reckon we need a Bob Nelson cookbook.
Yes, I’m sure he makes amazing Camel kofta.

I heard he puts his heart and soul into Dingo Balls Tartare or as Bob calls them “Down Under Delights”… :A Thumbs Up:

My mate Greg and I finally got away for a few days hunting in the great Australian outdoors.
Might not have been Africa but any hunt time is a GOOD time.
We were just after a few goats for the pot.
Greg used his Tikka 308 loaded with 150gn round nose and 130gn hollow points.
My weapons of choice were of course my 25 and I decided to see how a shotgun full of buckshot went. It went well.
I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking

Life's tough but someone has to do it, just glad it was my mate and I doing the hard yards
Magnificent ! What brand & size of buckshot did you use, Bobby ?

@Hunter-Habib
Just good old yellow box Winchester sssg 9 pellets in a modified chocke. Works very well..
I think a full choke would give a tighter/ better pattern

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
