As the title says I have a LNIB Right-handed Ruger Model 77 Hawkeye RSI International in 6.5x55 manufactured just this year!
This rifle is essentially new, it was sent back to Ruger because the floor plate was making contact with the front lug action screw, and inconsistent POI issues.
It’s been completely gone over, repaired and test fired yesterday! (See attached receipt from Ruger dated Aug. 06, 2025. I’ll have it back tomorrow.
The stock was replaced, the bolt, floor plate, and crown was repaired, and they polished the chamber! They are including a test fired target after the completed work, and cleaned the rifle prior to shipping.
I broke in the barrel prior to sending it to Ruger. This barrel cleans up as good if not better than any custom barrel I’ve owned! I put 50 rounds through it wondering why it was so inconsistent @ 100 yards. I even ended up even switching out the scopes to see if that helped? Nope, it would group really well, and then a flyer! Even though I was allowing it to cool down between each shot!
I’ll post pictures of it after I get it back from Ruger tomorrow.

$1,500.00 shipped from East County Guns, to a FFL near you. Buyer pays for the transfer on Your End.

I’m sure this would be a better purchase than anything off the shelf since it was completely gone through by Ruger’s top gunsmith technician’s to make certain of function, safety and accuracy standards.

It will come double boxed, with the original box, the original rings, (Not used or installed), and the included packaging and the torque specs being sent from Ruger.
It will include the 50 pieces of Lapua 6.5x55 brass fired in this gun.

Back from the Factory better than what I expected. The wood stock is Way prettier! Really nice contrasting grain of color all horizontal.
Floor plate good to go, no binding, functioning properly. What more can I say!

FWIW this is cross listed, and on GB.

I realize that I don’t have any feedback on here, that said I have over twenty years of feedback on Nosler’s forum as LRH, LongRangeHunting, under my username here, GunsAmerica and GB under HippotragusNiger, SH under 6.5 GUY, and **NOT**PERMITTED** LRHII.

That said I’ve sold so many rifles, scopes, reloading components and hunting related gear over the last 20 years that it’s clear that I have an addiction to firearms, shooting and yes hunting.

I’ve also been a competitive precision LR shooter for twelve years and known across NRL Hunter, PRS, RTC, ELR community not only as a competitor, but as a skilled RO all over the Rocky Mountain States.

Please feel free to reach out, if you’re interested I’m always available over the phone, I’m not interested in a conversation over text messages! I like to hear whom I’m having a conversation with.

BTW, my boxing standards for shipments are second to none. Very similar to the guys over at Raven Rocks Precision, I double box everything.

Thanks for taking the time to read all this, I just wanted to make it clear that I am a man of my word.

Man Licker
I almost spit out my coffee!
Reminds me of when I went into my favorite gun shop in Spartanburg SC. I was there every couple weeks and picked up some really interesting rifles and pistols.

I asked if they had a Ruger 77 RSI in .308. The regular clerk looked at me with a funny face, he didn't understand. I said You know the ones with the Mannlicher stock.

In the sternest South Carolina drawl, he said so everyone could hear:

We ain't got no man lickers in here.

Bump for the OP to sell this nice RSI in 6.5x55.

The original pictures I took the other day don’t show the whole story on the beauty of the wood.

Here it is in the Sun … Way nicer to judge than above.

I have this on GB under a auction, or buy it now for $1,500.00 I just bought this from Raven Rocks Precision a month ago for the price I'm asking for it. Did I over pay for it?

I need this gone ASAP, make me an offer that I can't refuse and I'll end the GB listing on 08/19/25 and sell it to you! Anyone is welcome to go bid on it, that said I'll save on the listing fee which I'd rather put to helping out here.

Thanks,

if it came thru from ruger that way, the QC inspector must have been blind.

The only obvious thing that I noticed was when I removed the spring to gain access to the front action lug screw to torque it down, that’s when I noticed the bottom metal floor plate would not go down!

As far as the stock being replaced I don’t know if that was part of the problem above, or not, but for whatever reason they replaced it.

I have no idea why they repaired the bolt, unless they machined the bolt face. The chamber, non of the fired brass extracted with a single mark! That’s the first thing I look at when I fire a new gun.

The crown, doesn’t look to me as any different than what it looked like when I sent it in.

The floor plate should have been noticed, but unless you removed the spring you would most likely not have noticed.

I have a notepad on my phone of rifles I plan on buying, in the order I plan on buying them. The stainless RSI in 6.5x55 is literally next on the list, but I don’t have the budget at the moment with the cost of the one I’m currently acquiring parts to build. This hurts to see being I can’t afford it at the moment lol

The 416 rigby is actually in progress because I’ve ordered a custom action, barrel, and when I find one I like I’ll be buying a stock blank, (I’ll be carving the stock myself) but thanks for the info!
