Politics

I just read that NATOs Article 5 has only been invoked once. That was by the USA after 9/11 and the members responded with lives and treasure. This whole “USA carrying Europe” is disingenuous and misguided.
Gander Newfoundland house and fed nearly 6500 people in the wake of 9/11 in some cases up to five days. 6500 passengers nearly doubled the population of the town. Residents in many cases opened their homes to complete strangers.

Much to the chagrin of the barstool economists.

The RMG Research poll, I'm assuming? The only poll out of the 4 completed in April to show a positive approval rating.

I guess that one got cherry picked and shared around MAGAland then?

I'd also notice that even the RMG polls have moved from a +10 on 3/6-3/13, to +7 on 3/18-3/27, to a +4 on 3/26-4/3. Which, whilst +4 overall, hardly suggests that Trump's "approval rating increased after his tariffs were enacted". In fact, it rather seems like a -3 point change from roughly a week ago, and a -6 point change from 3 weeks ago. But then, I'm no mathematician.

For a more complete picture, a quick Google threw up this site.

It's a collated spread of all the polls conducted over the past year or so: https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/approval/donald-trump/approval-rating

I'm afraid the overall data set doesn't exactly support your meme, amusing as I'm sure you find it.

This shouldn't be political, but in this day and age, it unfortunately is.

It's easy to catch fish around here. Just have to use the proper bait.

Personally, I live in hope that one day you'll actually contribute something of value to the thread if I call out your posts enough. Based on your response here, it seems that today ain't the day though!

I also see some value in presenting some objective sources and facts to all the third parties who read our oh so cordial and insightful exchanges.

Have a great Saturday and I'll see ya next time!

Simply brilliant sir. Well played. And your optimism exceeds my own by light years.

I could always contribute, endless whining, bitching, and complaining, like all of you members of the orange man bad club.

Huh, you're right. Getting bites really is easy with the right bait!

I'd point out that you probably post on this thread just as much as I.

I'm merely suggesting that if you choose to do so, at least make the post factual, supported, and able to add something to the conversation. Doesn't mean you need to join in on the moaning, as you note we've got plenty of that and frankly I value some opposing opinions just as much as those who agree with me. If not more so. That's the point of a debate, after all.

But if you feel differently, explain why, provide some data to support your position, share a source, expand. Because frankly, the memes, the pithy one liners and the constant playing of the victim is getting a bit old. Just a thought!

Oh, and "Orange man bad".

For the record has anyone else used the derogatory phrase orange man besides the red hat/ dunce cap brigade? I can’t remember a single instance until your post and that was more of a slight at brent. Not saying it hasn’t happened just seems that slight is only used by his devoted followers. I remember someone suggesting musk resembled a love child of the joker and c3po but that could have been on the chainsaw forum I recently joined I don’t think it was on AH.

Millions of people took part in protests against President Donald Trump and Elon Musk across all 50 states and globally on Saturday, organized by a pro-democracy movement in response to what they call a “hostile takeover” and attack on American rights and freedoms.
Yep they sure did turn out to protest…

Strange that you would join a hunting forum and make nothing but political posts without so much as an introduction?

So @Munnik tell us about your favorite hunts….

How will businesses in the U.S. be able to manufacture a marketable product with our labor cost obstacle? Cheaper labor from Mexico but we have to implement a workable vetting process.....none of this last 4 year over the border nonsense.

We are past the age of needing ditch diggers. Skilled manufacturing labor is lacking in the USA, and we do not have the people to populate new factories if we were to bring everything in house.

In regard to Mexican labor. Some time ago we did a project for Ratheon at the free trade zone in Tijuana. I was having a conversation with the plant manager, he stated that the turnover rate at the plant was around 30%. People come in, get trained make their money and leave to go home in about 6-9 months. They were not looking at working at plants as a career.

So, cheap labor similar to Asian countries will not be here in the States where fast food workers make $25/hour.

Tt Jake is asking for a cash transaction. No disrespect intended, Just trying to verify who I am talking to. Thank you. Respectfully. Dan

Hey my friend, I am returning to SA for a Cape Buffalo hunt in June 26. My outfitter has suggested Highveld but I have read some poor reports. Wondering how satisfied you were with your mounts from them? Thanks in advance.
Finally back to somewhat normal I missed reading the messages and posts
