Well, the moment I've been waiting for has finally arrived. @gizmo (Top of Texas Taxidermy) texted me yesterday to inform me that he was already working on my mounts. So I asked him for pictures (or it did not happened :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:) to start a new taxidermy thread. Here are some of the pictures I received.

The buffalo ft will be cigar ashtrays.

I'm super excited to see them finally getting done. More to come.

Can’t wait to see the final results! I toured @gizmo’s shop last November and was impressed. And I’m pretty critical of taxidermy. He had a sable drying at the time and anyone would have been proud to have in their trophy room.

That makes two of us. :ROFLMAO: I can't wait to have them hanging on my walls. ;)

Looking forward to a photo breaking in the ashtrays along with a bit of brown water! I'll toast you back when you post it. They all look really good.

You got it, and most likely it will be a Padron 1964 maduro. One of my favorites. ;)

Macanudo and Dalmore for me. Cheers:D Beers:

Warthog mount is on deck waiting for @gizmo magic to make him look pretty. :ROFLMAO:

Thank you! You are right, even with too much lip stick, a pig is always a pig. :ROFLMAO:

More pictures, working around the eyes.

I see two buffalo foot ashtrays. Should I count on another Oscar endorsed ashtray in Nashville? [emoji897]

My wife has claimed them both, and doubt I’ll ever use them as ashtrays.

Received another text from @gizmo. Red Hartebeest is drying out waiting for final details, and my Cape Kudu is on deck. (y) :A Clapping:

Black Wildebeest is also ready for drying and final touch ups. @gizmo said this is one of most hairy Black Wildebeest he has ever seen, and kindly name him the Burt Reynolds of Wildebeest. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

My anticipation and excitement are building, I can't wait to have them at my house and on the walls. I've been keeping my mom up to date with the progress, and she laughed when she saw the last couple of pictures and said to me that I will need a bigger house. :ROFLMAO:

Received another text from @gizmo with updates on my mounts. Some of the final products for your enjoyment. I can't wait to get my hands on them (y)

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
