Dur to the excellent rains we've had this season (twice our yearly average so far) we've decided to add some extra animals to the packages below. I have 6 of these packages I can offer for 2014 and I still have some excellent dates still available through out the season.

If none of the packages appeal to you then please get in contact with us to put together a customised package for you.

Hunting can be done by either bow or rifle. Kanana is 100 000 Acres of privately owned game farm situated in pristine Kalahari Bushveld roughly 250km SW of Maun, Botswana. The hunts will be conducted by myself or one of our excellent PH's.

All accommodation is full board in Motswiri Lodge - our luxury tented safari camp situated in the heart of Kanana Wilderness.

The packages are as follows:

PACKAGE 1

9 nights of Accommodation 8 full hunting days

1 Eland
1 Kudu
1 Blue Wildebeest
1 Gemsbok (Oryx)
1 Zebra
1 Warthog
+ a choice of one of the following - Blue Wildebeest/Gemsbok/Red Hartabeest

+ 2 non trophy Blue Wildebeest
+ 2 non trophy Gemsbok

So a total of 8 hunting days and 11 Animals

$ 7295

Or

PACKAGE 2

5 nights of Accommodation 4 full hunting days

1 Kudu
1 Zebra
1 Gemsbok (Oryx)

CULL PACKAGE

$325 per hunter per day hunting 2x1

Cull (non trophy and female) Gemsbok and Wildebeest $150 each (minimum of 8 animals per hunter)

Observers at $125 per day - However, we are still trying to facilitate an opportunity for hunters and decision makers of the future to come and experience an African Safari so if you have a son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter (under the age of 18) that you would like to bring over with you, there will be no charge for them at all and we will add in a non-trophy Gemsbok (Oryx) and Warthog for them to hunt at no charge.

INCLUDED IN DAILY RATES:
Services of a licensed Professional Hunter/s
Tracker, skinners and driver
Accommodation, meals, drinks and alcohol for duration of the safari

Glad the rains have shown up.

This is a good illustration of a positive game management issue for the hunters.

Regulars are familiar with Kanana. They have had several VERY positive reports about their operation over the last couple of years. I would not hesitate to hunt with them. Bruce

This looks like a great deal , in a unique part of the world.

While I have not hunted with Jason and Kanana (YET!), I have known Jason for a couple of years now and he is a great guy. I know several people that have hunted with him and all have had fantastic hunts and taken great trophies
.
Glad the rains have been good to you Jason! Good luck!

Great outfit to hunt with. Jason and his crew know how to show you a good time. The wife and I hunted at Kanana last April and are headed back in six weeks to hunt again this year as well. I can only imagine how lush the vegetation will be compared to the dry conditions last year.

Hi Jason.
Re: your pakages offered.
being new here , a quick question.
Do you have the opportunity to incude an Impala and a Waterbuck in these packages , I realize that there could be a cost differential.
Looking forward in hearing from you.

Sparky, Kanana has Impala and Waterbuck available on the properties and did allow some of my buddies to switch and add trophies.
Jason was quite accommodating.

A couple of samples.

My best always

I hunted kanana last year with my brother. 2x1...eight days and 8 trophy animals each. The task was harder as my brother wanted to shoot everything with 470NE double. Jason went out of his way in terms of hospitality and the PH that was assigned to us made sure we took each and every one of our trophies right until the last day.

A truly memorable experience and I am going back in two weeks. Anyone looking for a fun hunt with excellent camps and an area packed with quality game then Kanana is the place to go. Whether you're a first timer or an experienced hunter, there is something for everyone there.

Hi Guys,

Many thanks for all the kind words - we definitely try our utmost best to make sure everybody has an excellent safari at Kanana.

Sparky - you are welcome to add trophies to the packages as per our published 2014 price list or alternatively we could look at substitutions of species, with in reason of course. Please drop me a PM or an email and we can work out some options for you.

Chat soon
Jason

pacific are you driving down again?

Hey Spike,

Yes I will be driving down again. Long drive but at most times I will be driving through National Park areas. You never know what animals you come across. I tell you what I've driven through a lot of African countries but driving through Botswana tops the lot. You simply have to make sure you have a good working Aircon in the car.

have to chat about your route as i am possibly driving up from joburgh beginning of may and will prob pull into see jason, then either head up to zambia or go see Doc in walvis for a couple of days and then head up .

im glad to see kanana still has great packages to offer. i have been thinking about taking my younger kids on a safari and this might just be my ticket. if i can figure out the flight part i may very well take u up on a package. i usually fly first class for free cuz of miles but i dont have enough for 3 people so i have to see what i can come up with as the arthritis in my back wont let me fly economy. i will get back in touch with u jason

Brickburn: Am I correct in saying that Impala looks really old? Anyways, both animals looks awesome. Kanana has some some great trophies :)

Some of the areas at Kanana are quite rocky and I wonder if that has much effect on the horn wear.
I did not check his teeth, but I think he is on the older side.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking it based on the horns as you explain. But i gues you can chip the horns on a lot of different stuff. What is an old Impala? whats the adult age of an impala?

We'll have to create another thread for that one.

Note some of the tip wear on the horn tips but more so the "secondary" growth at the bases.. This only happens with age on smoothed horned antelope, includes, impala, Blesbuck, sable, waterbuck and pretty much every antelope with ringed horns...

This is a major consideration on Sable and the first thing I look for... (Secondary growth)

My best always.
