For a long time I've had a question bouncing around in my head. During the two terms of Obama, during some terrorist inspired dust up in the Middle East, and his famous "line in the sand" crap statement, I believe to or in reference to al-Assad, he kept using the acronym "ISIL". While everyone else, including the state dept, MSM and foreign officials were using "ISIS". At the time I kind of blew it off as, ho hum, just Big O trying to show everyone how much of a scholar he thought he was. Made sense because of his extreme ego and arrogance... just a sophomoric attempt at trying to look important. He did it so many times it indicated he was doing it on purpose. Now I'm not so sure about the explanation of a simple arrogant delusion of scholarship for which he was known for and BTW providing him perfect cover for his use of "ISIL" instead of "ISIS". Given his track record with Iran, the 20-20 hindsight of history which we may be witnessing play out to this day under his puppet in place Brandon, was BHO simply transmitting an ultra subtle message to all his buds in the Middle East, "I need to sound tough with my line-in-the-sand language (I believe to al-Assad in Syria) but I'm with my brothers, namely Iran and Syria, in the land of the Levant"??? History reveals the "line-in-the-sand" statement was all bullshit for show from the beginning.
"Line in the Sand" quote was George HW Bush not Obama

Just a thought... The first amendment only applies to US citizens and residents I think (I may be wrong)... if I am correct then it can be a simple exercise to use facial recognition of the the terrorist protestors/sympathisers to identify those that are on student visas / asylum visas / etc and expel them (and anyone on their visas). It's a start.

Secondly. publicly funded institutions should have their funding suspended when they allow a protest supporting a US named terrorist organisation. I bet if those little twits were protesting for ISIS they would be knocked back or have some consequence.

The problem with the above is you have to have a government that actually WANTS to stop the BS. Unfortunately the current government has no desire to do anything.

My mind isn’t as good as it used to be but I think it was Obama talking about Assad in Syria. I don’t remember the context. Like I said I may be wrong. If it was Bush what was he talking about?

O'Bama was saying that if Assad used chemical weapons that he would be crossing a "red line" for which he would receive "enormous consequences". Don't recall the Line in the Sand.
That definitely rings a bell, thanks

The original "Line in the Sand" verbiage was used by the press to describe the speech given by George H. W. Bush to a joint session of Congress on September 11, 1990. This, of course was in the middle of the deployment of US and Coalition forces to Saudi Arabia as part of Operation "Desert Shield." It became "Desert Storm" when the coalition attacked to liberate Kuwait from Iraqi control. I and the headquarters element of our brigade had touched down in Dhahran two days previously.

The President basically ordered Hussein to leave Kuwait immediately or face the consequences. The press then referred to it as a line in the sand.

I should note that Bush was running around a 70% approval rating at the time and you will note both sides of the aisle are applauding.

Wow... just... wow. At this point, that seems about as attainable as a winning lotto ticket or unicorn backstraps.

Voters are fickle. The Coalition won the war overwhelmingly to huge acclaim and then he still lost to Bill Clinton in November of 1992.

I think the backtracking on "Read my lips, no new taxes" hurt Bush in his re-election campaign. James Carville, working for Clinton, came up with "It's the economy, stupid."

Another one of these rather remarkable bits of footage from one of the Ukrainian brigades on the Avdiivka front where the Russians persist in these near suicidal frontal attacks. For those of you who have not seen combat, armored vehicles struck with enough violence to send 200 lb road wheels flying for a hundred yards are very unhealthy places for the human body. Rounds which set off the onboard ammunition result in catastrophic injuries to the crew as is particularly clear in the final scene.

I can only assume Putin has demanded a major victory regardless of cost somewhere before winter closes in on the steppe.

Totally devastating. How much more
Armor and personnel do they have to sacrifice? At some
Point the equipment is gone and the personnel are dead. The disregard for their troops is stunning.

No, it wasn't the Bush warning to Saddam.....
Yes, that's it. The point being, how did Obama respond when al-Assad crossed the red line after the warning? You can give it any name you want. The meaning was clear and the result/response was clear- nothing! Also, Brandon was vp during all this. Obama was blustering and posturing for the sake of the audience. Not unlike many of the trademark big shot stories dopeyjoe tells like the saga of Corn Pop. BHO was more polished in the art.

So I see the Hezbollah leader has vowed to continue to attack our troops. Is this not a declaration of war? Why are we not vaporizing this buffoon?

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc
