The one that started it all

So if I see a cat at the water hole, shoot. always learning.

Sorry fluffy. LOL

BTW they can be mounted with or without the bell.

If you guys only heard the ribbing I took ! Also The Bow Shop here in Canada would not post the picture on their wall of fame ! Now Im seriously thinking about going back and working on the other 5 cats of Africa . Is there an African Cat Grand Slam ? ROTFLMAO !
Glen

Well in my mind at least Glen: "the Cat Grand Slam" with a bow would be the holy grail of bowhunting. Heck I only know one guy that has done it with a rifle. He practically lives in Africa though for 3 months every year....lucky bastard!

This post has morphed quite nicely, what would be the furry five? Always looking to add to my endless list.

The black footed cat, African wildcat, African golden cat, serval and caracal.

Black footed cat is protected, no?

I would love to fill that list.

Like many, my first African kill was a nice warthog. This old boy was taken spot and stalk at 20 yards on my "first, once in a lifetime trip!"
And yes...this is my first post!

Thanks! Long time user over on two other forums...stumbled accross this site the other night. I'm looking forward to surfing here more, chatting with some new friends and always learning something new about hunting in Africa.

I am on the other forum too. Have been there for 8 years as Norwegian Woods :)
Was on there as Norwegianwoods for some year before that, but something happened to my account so I could not access it after a server transfer(I didn't get banned :) ), so I needed to create a new account.

This is the best forum by far for people interested in hunting in Africa :)

My first African bow kill was a spot and stalk black wildebeest. He was also the very first animal that I ever saw in Africa, as the sun came up on the first morning (however, it took until the following day to get him).

Very cool! Hopefully I'm lucky enough to see one within range this July!

Mine was a Blesbuck with the Bow at 45 yards.....What a way to get the blood pumping!
