on a lighter note...

It’s hard to tease them, just like it’s hard to tease the Amish. Groups of people that want to be left alone to do their thing.
I understand that. Although I’d say most people are like that. There’s also a big difference in a secular, political ideology and a religious one. If the libertarian’s views didn’t align with and support liberal agendas (specifically social ones) so often I wouldn’t have a problem with them. They’ve just got a bunch of pipe dreams based on unrealistic, willfully ignorant world views that they want to implement with no regard for the ramifications

Free market ideology is not a terrible idea when coupled with a practical world view. Don’t take the Libertarian party as an accurate representation of libertarian thinking. They lost all credibility in my mind, when the party leaders testified to congress in support of breaking up Microsoft. Apparently their ideology is great until it hurts their pocketbook.

I’m not kidding that was my grandma’s favorite restaurant. I wish I could tell you why but who knows.
My grandmother liked Long John Silver's also. I would take her there for lunch once or twice a month. Now she's passed and I live in a state without any LJS's, and I kind of miss it.

I agree. I should’ve worded my criticisms differently. My problem is with the modern party itself and the majority of the people who identify as libertarians in the here and now, not the core ideology itself. Libertarianism is a wonderful thing for the most part although I don’t see how much of it can be applied in today’s world. I believe this modern day interpretation of it is thoroughly corrupt.

I had this short piece from Second Hand Lions pop up on my feed today, I can watch it over and over

Never mess with a old man.

Great scene from a great movie!

I was eating breakfast with my 10 year old Grandson and I asked him,What day is tomorrow? Without skipping a beat he said " It's Presidents Day!" He's smart, so I asked him "What does Presidents Day mean?" I was waiting for something about Obama, Bush or Clinton, etc. He replied "Presidents Day is when the President steps out of the White House, and if he sees his shadow, we have another year of bullshit." You know, it hurts when hot coffee spurts out your nose.
Shout out to Just Gina: After 6 decades I finally know how to spell Minnesnowda!
