South Africa’s Zulu Nation Joins White Farmers To Protest Government Land Seizures

Now, this is what unity looks like. South Africa’s Zulu nation has joined forces with white farmers being subjected to racial land seizures in order to prevent the atrocity.

The largest ethnic group in South Africa, Zulu, has spoken out against the racial expropriation of land without compensation in the country. Zulu is ready to cooperate with the country’s white farmers, known as “Afrikaners” or “Boers” to prevent the seizure of their land, reported RT. Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini has said the group will cooperate with South African minority rights group AfriForum because they desire to eat in the future.

The Zulu nation I’m talking about will not exist if we don’t have food. That’s why I say farmers must come closer so that we discuss what we can do when we talk about agriculture and the availability of enough food in the land. That’s why I’m asking AfriForum of the Boers to come and help us,” Zwelithini said, as quoted by eNews Channel Africa. “Because when government started talking about the appropriation of land, expropriation without compensation, Boers downed tools. There is no food in South Africa,” he added.

Zulu people are the largest ethnic group in South Africa, with an estimated 10-12 million people living mainly in the province of KwaZulu-Natal. The group accounts for more than a fifth of the country’s population and its opinion is important in the context of the general elections next year. RT

Anyone who wants to be voted for and elected by us, I’m going to talk now, anyone who wants to be elected by us must come and kneel here and commit that I will never touch your land, the Zulu King said firmly placing private property rights above political or racial affiliation. While the Zulu King officially has no political power, he does have the loyalty of millions of people who may not be affiliated with politics.

The land expropriation program run by President Cyril Ramaphosa is designed to redistribute land to poor black people to tackle severe inequality 24 years after the end of apartheid. It mostly involves lands owned by Boers, whites primarily of Dutch descent. However, the program has aroused discontent among the Zulus, too, sparking fears that they could be the next to lose land.

the king is right on about the ability to grow-produce food, and many native africans will suffer if the land take over goes thru.

Hope this is a turning point in the right direction for RSA.

If you read some you'd find that some observers thought what this land issue is about, is the Zulu Kingdom owns a substantial amount of acreage that the SA political leaders in J'berg would like to have.

This is not about SA food production on the Zulu end and how swell a bunch of whites are, but a marriage of convenience......the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Do not read too much in this ..it is every one for himself in our country..nothing to do with friendship or good relations between white ( farmers) and black ( Zulus) . Purely politics , the last time the Boers ( Piet Retief ) negotiate for land with the Zulus they were murdered by them...nothing has changed since 1800 , baby`s , mothers, children was murdered then...:A Bang Head:

A word of caution from an American who loves visiting your country and has good Afrikaans friends who live there.
That was the 1800’s, this is now.
In December 1941 the Japanese boned Pearl Harbor led by the carrier Akaga. We fought the Japanese in a bitter fight with the Chinese as our allies. Just a few years ago, a Japanese “helicopter destroyer@ named Kaga, made a port call in Pearl Harbor . Both the Japanese and the United States have become steadfast allies against an increasingly aggressive China.

You can’t keep fighting the wars of your ancestors. Right now the Boer need all the help they can get.

It really is too bad. It seems that whether it is Africa, USA, Canada, Australia; all over the world people are waging political "wars" claiming to be fighting for justice and peace. Reality is most of them are in it for revenge, and the other races or classes be damned. History should have taught us all by now. There have been numerous examples over time of different groups or countries overcoming their differences and becoming unified again, and yet we repeat the same vengeful acts over and over again.

Everyone is so worried about being taken advantage of or holding onto some power that forgiveness and true justice get zero attention.

I think the old adage "follow the money" is pretty applicable to all of these "political wars"

I do not believe in fighting a war...no body wins, but I had fought in a war that was an ideology based on the fear for the "Red Danger"-the communists invasion into Africa..while we were busy with this war in Namibia/Angola the politicians on both sides were having parties discussing what the best way would be to end the war ....from that we , the soldiers learned that it was extremely easy for the politicians to use us as canon fodder..after this war we learned to think for our selves and believe in no human being what so ever...including political parties ....(y)(y) I will never participate in any person`s war ever, as well as my son..(y)

those who sit at the lever to send troops into battle always find it easy to speak of courage, honour and fatherland.
While your sons are bleeding to death they sit with Scampi and Pinot Grigio and discuss the next move.
Gerd, wasn't it Jimmy Carter who forced you to retreat back then, you would have pretty much mixed up Angola ?

Yes, it was, the big plumb pudding was Chester Arthur Crocker who suddenly forgot that the CIA was assisting Savimbi of the JUNITA faction..along side the South African forces...he denied that America was involved when pressure of the UN was building up since the South African forces was on their way to Luanda..something the CIA and the USA departments did not foreseen.. The CIA operatives jumped on their airplane and went safely home ...Chester Crocker and our own Pik Botha was about the same type of low level statesman ....the difference being the one was an incompetent politici and the other was a bought communist all his life ...pretending he was there for his country...
