ZIMBABWE: One Of The Greatest Buffalo Hunts: Video Report Of My Hunt In The Omay With Johnny Russell Of Dalton & York Safaris

awesome hunt. congrats on a great and well earned bull! thanks for sharing!

Wow, congratulations! What a great hunt, just doesn’t get any better. Thanks for posting.

Epic hunt. A dry-land hippo is on my list. And WHAT a buffalo! You really should enter him for the Rigby Dagga Boy!

Johnny is absolutely first rate, I can't say enough good things about him. I would recommend him to anyone.
Johnny was in camp during my tuskless hunt; you can really tell he enjoys his work.

Watching the video now, really enjoying it….

Except for all the “Roll Tide” business ;-)

To bad the .470 WR wasn’t ready in time!

A hippo on land and a buffalo in the thick stuff, what a fantastic safari.
Thanks @Ridge Runner my primary wish was for buffalo, but I was glad we had an opportunity for the hippo on dry land, and I really enjoyed that. Stalking in close to such a large animal and trying to make sure we got a good shot was a great hunt.

The two times I’ve hunted the Omay, we tried to do a dry land hippo, but never could close the deal. We only saw bulls out in the water.

Man, awesome hunt. I love the emotions. You can clearly discern the sense of joy and accomplishment as well as relief at the conclusion of the buffalo hunt. Good shooting on both! Awesome buffalo.
