Given that the Interarms Mark X and Remington 798 both have their origins in actions from Zastava, how do they compare? Is there much difference between the two?

Would the Whitworth versions of the Mark X have better wood and better fitting than other versions?

The question about the overpriced Remington 798 is what has spurred my interest. I see both rifles in .375 H&H and I like the fact that they'd have the Mauser CRF.

I recently purchased an Interarms Mark X chambered in .375 H&H. The rifle was as new. Bolt face clean and unmarked, deep blue finish and very nice wood.
I attempted to mount a Zeiss using Tally mounts but could not align the rings using centers. I then brought it to a Mauser specialist at one of the larger gunsmith operations in CT. He studied the Iphone photos of the centers mounted in the rings, and declared he will make it work....
A week later he told me the only feasible repair is to weld the rear scope base holes closed and then re-drill.
I declined the repair and bought an older M70.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
