WTB 450-400 3" LONDON DBL/ HEYM 89B
WTB posts are hit especially hard by scammers. Glad you flushed him out before losing anything monetary other than the time it took to deal with him....Was DM'd buy a new member (1/5/2026 Gaj256 ) saying he had Heym 89B 450 NE. we went back and forth for about 5 days.
A lot of red flags but kept going down to wire.
To flush him out I told him this needed to be a FFL to FFL sale and I needed the name and phone number of his FFL shipper. CRICKET'S - Beware !
If you are talking about the Champlain gun it is sold he doesn’t update his inventory often a lot of it is soldWell I can by 88B 470NE right now on GI $21,500
I Think this will make someone's day!Hi Sailfish9453
I have a WJ Jeffery .450/.400 NE 3" double which I would like to sell. I won the rifle on the recent Double Rifle Society raffle. It is cased and in superb condition. It comes with some once fired Hornady cases, 50 Woodleigh FMJ's, 50 Weldcores and a box of Swift Break Away solids. I have the loading data for it as well. The rifle was made in 1908 (have a copy of the journal entry) but looks like it is new. The only things not original is a new red recoil pad and a larger front sight bead, both fitted by JJ Perdeau who also checked the rifle over and developed a load for it. The only reason I'm selling it is that I will soon turn 70 and unfortunately cannot see the express sights clearly any more. To put a red dot on such a classic rifle would be akin to putting a tow hitch and roof rack on a Rolls Royce!!! This is something I am not prepared to do. The rifle fits me perfectly - LOP 15 1/8", DAC 1 9/16", DAH 2 1/16". On my bathroom scale it weights 11 lbs but the journal entry says 10.2 lbs. The rifle used to be owned by a veterinary colleague of mine who reloaded for it and said with his reloads it regulated to within 3" at 80 meters.
When the DRS shipped the rifle to my FFL they insured it for $ 27 000 but I am willing to accept $ 25 000 for it and all the bullets. The rifle is here in Texas. If you are interested, you are welcome to call me. My cell number is 224 645 1347. I attach some photos.
A fine decision in response to a splendid offer. Think we should all smile a bit when forums brethren make things happen. And that was a cool rifle too, I had a chance or three in the hopper on that one as well.Sailfish9453 has purchased the Jeffery double.

The Double Rifle Society has raffled off some sweet rifles…and the current one is no slouch either. Folks should check it out and enter if they haven’t already…hell, enter again if you have.

Funny thing about this gun is I had a chance to buy it 2 years ago from Louren Havenga. I instead purchased his Wilkinson 470NE double rifle instead - Small World !
