Would you like a Cigar?

Thanks as always for the honest take on a cigar I have not tried.
Thank you, Mort. I was actually impressed with this stick. Got it in a mega sampler from CI. I'm not an expert at deciphering flavor notes, but Espresso, a touch of Caramel, and a slightly spicy overtone that is not over the top. Will be ordering some more of these in the future.

Not a big Perdomo fan either. But to each his own.
Nick Perdomo, has been doing some heavy marketing this year, along with visiting Cigar shops around the country. Declining sales maybe? It's a competitive industry. I have only had a few Perdomo's, and I was not overly impressed with them. Our lical shop carries them.

My mom, got back from Nicaragua, and this is what she brought me for Christmas. A box of Jose O. Padron 90 years Anniversary. Even though I'm 58 years old, my mom continues to spoil me :)

Unfortunately I've been sick with a nasty head cold, and I have not been able to smoke a single one. :(

Nice gift. I can sympathize with the cold. Had that over Thanksgiving and was hacking for 4 weeks. Hard to enjoy a good cigar under those conditions.

I hear ya! I can't bring myself into smoking them under these conditions, I know I will not enjoy them at all and they are too good for that. Going to be patient and get rid of this sh*tty cold first. :)

Alec Bradley - Nica Puro 1685

A blend of Cedar, roasted Coffee, Earth, and a pepper spice kick. Not bad, but not something that stands out. A few burn touchups were needed.

Looking forward to hearing about these, when you feel better.

Will do. I’ve never had a bad Padron, specially on any of the Anneversario series. They have always been fine smokes.

BTW, my mom didn’t know what she had bought me, the salesperson at the Padron duty free store recommended these to her. I can only imagine what she paid for them.

I had a Padron 1964 Anniversary series Maduro on Christmas Eve. Fantastic smoke!
Saving a Padron 1926 for New Years eve.

Padron 1926. Pretty good smoke, but I actually like the Padron 1964 Anniversary Maduro more.

Leinenkugel's Snowdrift Vanilla Porter. You upper Midwest guys might be familiar with this.

CAO America. Got that barber pole wrap.
Disappointed in this smoke. Extremely tight draw, and wonky burn. Flavor not that great IMO. Could be the tight draw?

I have two boxes of them. One boxes the cigars are fantastic, smoke great, lots of smoke and good flavor. the other box, the cigars don’t stay lit, short in flavor, just junk. QA on them must be bad.

I have smoked many CAO Brazilias over the years. Never had a problem with them
This is the first CAO America I've tried. The draw was so tight, I had to fight it. I will see if the other one I have is any better.?

La Perla Habana Maduro. Very dark Brazilian wrapper. Almost like a Partagas black. Oak, Earthy, sweet hay & black licorice flavors. Not bad.

I am as you probably know, a huge fan of Camachos. The pre-embargo Camachos were my favorites, but unfortunately they are no longer made. My smoking friend and I buy them when we find them. :)

La Aroma De Cuba. A freebie from the Cigar shop.

Celebrating our win over the New Orleans Saints. Cigar & beers all around.

Getting pumped up for the afternoon game against the 49'ers. Beers chilling on Ice, food ready to go.

A little Saturday action with a Cohiba Nicauragua. Good smoke!

Brent, that Cohiba Nicaragua is a great little smoke. I like them a lot, and buy them every time I get a chance to pay $3.50 or so per stick. (y)(y)

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
