It can be yours for only $150,000. Is this a canned hunt or what?
Not my cuppa!

Meals cost a lot in New Zealand or what.

Now that is hunting for a score.

last year my wife won a hunting trip to new Zealand and they claimed to have the NUMBER ONE, they also claimed to been offered 220 ,00 usd for him
bloody gald she didn't shoot that one .
is this hunt with wilderness quest new Zealand mike ?

Hormones, hormones, hormones. You can get good stags with good management however that is obscene.

AKMIKE, this will be a fenced hunt for sure, this stag was bred to be hunted, what I can not tell you is how large the area will be my guess is 1000 - 2000 acres.... this stag was bred and released.

My best always.

Bred to hunt for sure. You can tick of a hell of a wishlist with that kind of money in Africa.

Reminds you of "Medusa". One ugly mutt!

Bred to be killed and most likely as wild as a milking cow.
This has nothing to do with hunting.
This is pure trophy shooting and collecting.

I would be embarrassed if I had a mount of that animal in my house as everyone with just a hint of knowledge about hunting would know that I had shot someones "pet".

Reminds me of all the 300+" pen raised whitetail deer raised in the USA, not my cup of tea. :).

I think you all missed the point there is a tahr hunt in the package also. LOL To think I am only about 145,000 short right now.I think this stag may just fail a drug test if given one and I bet taste awful to.

Gentlemen All I know of this is what's in the ad. I have no need for my name to be on some list for shooting this critter. It's not a hunt it's just like shooting livestock to me, no sport just shooting.
In my mind it's similar to someone having trophies on the wall that they bought off EBAY.

For $150,000 they won't even buy you a drink? That gives new meaning to milking the client for every penny.

Face it - in NZ nearly all trophy hunting takes place behind high fences. Outside the fenced areas, what we consider game is considered vermin - no season, no limits. In some areas, the government poisons them! Only problem may be access. However, you are unlikely to find what you would consider to be a trophy worth hanging on a wall.

they wont buy you a beer ,but they can give you an injection to make your horn grow real big

theres plenty of good trophy animals on public land in nz mrgoat
the hard bit is that the bush is that thick that you cant see the deer
a mate of mine goes over there every janurary and feburary and is forever moaning about not being able to shoot because he cant see the bloody things .
even worse during the roar he rekons you can smell em and hear them moving roaring straight in your face but just cant get a shot
last year in three week hard hunting he took a real nice sika stag a 13 point red and a 21 point red deer stag .

Well, in that case the price seems much more reasonable. :clapping:

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
Thanks,

Love your rifle! I'm needing a heavier rifle for Africa. Sold my .375 Dakota Safari several trips ago. Would you have any interest in a trade of some sort involving the custom 338/06 I have listed here on the site ( I have some room on my asking price. I also have a large quantity of the reloading components and new Redding dies as well as a box of A-Square Dead Tough ammo.
