Do any of you forage for woods medicine?

I have gotten camphor tree leaves for stuffy noses for my wife. It seems to help

I am thinking of trying old man’s beard
As a tincture.

Have y’all used it or anything ?

Some. I eat rose hips when available for Vit C. I’ve chewed on willow bark for aspirin for headache. I’m always cautious because some plants are very toxic. Just ask the late wingnut McCandless of Magic School Bus fame.

My sister is looking for plants that will produce the rose hips for fl.
I am looking at the old man’s beard for it’s supposed antibiotic type use.

Just looking for some grid down stuff that might work.
I have used sassafras and black cherry bark.
Surprise how well it worked for sore throat.
