Wildcats from the .450 Marlin

@Boyd Brooks
Sort of sits between the Whelen and the Norma so it only has the cool factor. A lot of work for not much gain. Me thinks I will just stoke the Whelen up and go and shoot stuff and have fun. I have 2 Wildcats so that will do me.
Good ideas tho for someone.

I am anti-06. Anything it spawned is demon seed to me. If I was offered a choice between a .308 Savage Axis, and a Mark V in .30-06, for free, I'd take the Savage on principle alone. Growing up, I had an uncle, that was all he spewed, 30-06 this and that. It would skin the deer on impact, and carry the meat half way to the truck. It could take down F-15's and destroy Abraham's tanks in one shot. I'm embellishing a little, but 30 years of hearing that chit, I developed a disdain for it like no other. He put Leupold right there with it.

Besides, if I wanted a .35, I'd use the .375 Ruger case. My fired .375 Ruger case holds 100.8gr H20 to the brim.

I was thinking for a marlin with a tubular magazine. And we can’t forget that everything has been done at least once.
When I made the post, the tube fed guns are what I had in mind. The BLR and bolt guns, there isn't much need to wildcat anything. Of course the one wildcat I did, Hornady took credit for.

@ Viral_SIGness
What one was that?

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
