Which gun system to bring back ?

But nothing beats a Mauser 98 action with the right cartridge. In this case a rifle from August Schüler in Suhl.

Because it’s already been done.
GI BAR 458 WM

And the AR platform (with greater ammo capacity) allows you to stop the charge on a whole herd of Cape buffalo. ;)
Except that a semi auto is not easy to get into Africa ;) Thus the Blaser.

I didn't say it would be easy. Something worthwhile rarely is. ;)

But yeah, the Blaser gets it done in style.

Bring back the Winchester Model 70 as made before 1964. If there’s a shortage of raw materials we could perhaps recycle the steel wasted on so many rifles in the past several decades.
What he said though i doubt it will be possible to have the same quality control as a 1964 model.

I don’t know if it counts as a comeback or not but I would like to see options for reasonably priced double rifles on the market, no reason they couldn’t be manufactured for under 4k if some of the bigger companies picked them up.

I would like to see a resurgence of safari style bolt guns in the bigger bores say .375 and up. Again this competition would make the prices better.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ
