What Size Animals Should One Target On A Hunt In South Africa

but to be honest I'd rather stalk a 50 inch Kudu for a couple of hours than shoot a 66 inch fella 3 steps from a vehicle.

Most of is here would agree with this!

Make sure you're PH and Outfitter understand this though. Start the conversation now even. There are enough "grocery cart"hunters that go to Africa making your believes not quite as common as one might think.

ENJOY!!!!

@TMS that's a pretty young kudu you posted that picture of.... ;)

Yes, know what is a representative animal for the area your hunting, have many discussion with the PH about what you would like(size, shape), how you want to hunt, etc. And most of all, ENJOY!!

Yes have spoken with ph and we are on the same page in this regard, I have no doubts about the way our hunts will be conducted, the size of the trophy I have no idea, haven't asked as I'll be hunting Africa, whatever I get will be a bonus on top of that.

If you would to see how my list stacks up for sizes throw a few of the sizes at your Ph for animals you maybe hunting. See what he tells you if they are in that range.

Have a blast on your hunt and enjoy it all.

@billc , @Royal27 is already paying for the alfalfa, but I am sure if you throw in a good bottle of rum, I will tell royal it died of obesity. :D Beers::D Cheers:

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
