What did you get yourself for Christmas?

Sad to see Joe selling McBride's Guns but glad it will still be owned by somebody else and hope they don't change it much.
When we lived it Austin I bought several rifles/shotguns from him but more than that was all the reloading supplies. I still have stuff with their pricing label still affixed. That was a cool store to visit.
I am getting an ammo can propane fire pit for Christmas to use with my slide in pop up camper. A lot of times here in the national forests during the summer there will be fire bans but you can use a propane fire pit. It is small, compact and puts out a lot of flame.

Nothing.
I am at a stage of life where if I want something for myself or my loved ones I just get it then instead of waiting for an occasion. Time is short.

That being said, I got myself a week with my daughter and granddaughters here in NYC.

My wife is getting me a new Matchmaster powder scale .. that I bought and put under the tree,
That's why you put a card on it that says, from Santa! Lol!

A week in NYC or a gift certificate for root canal? Hmmm. Let me think on that one.

Seriously, enjoy your time with family. That's what the holidays are about no matter the venue. Where do they live? Far away? I'm lucky my daughter and grandkids are just two blocks away. My grandparents were more than a day's drive so I rarely saw them. Go make some memories and report back. That's an order. :D

Sadly, i cant afford regular DG hunts. So i settle for riding extremely fast motorcycles. I've found the experience of travelling over 150mph (240kph) while hanging on to a wheeled missile to be an intriguing experience.
No worse than the guys in Dallas popping wheelies at 90 mph going between the car lanes! Funny how I only see them a few times and then never again...

Tanks - Try to get into Keene’s steakhouse for dinner. It’s worth the price, and has one of the best bars in the city. The girls will likely enjoy Serendipity, near Bloomingdale’s; be sure to get BLT and frozen hot chocolate there.

My Christmas Present to myself is, headed to Dallas TTHA Show in January and finalize plans on Mozambique Elephant and Hippo hunt with Tsala!
Are you going in 26 or 27? I am going September for my second try at leopard in 27 with them.

Those guys/girls have more fun in 30 minutes than most people have in their entire lives. Anyone who hunts dangerous game or partakes in any other form of risky pleasure shouldnt judge them too harshly. Taking risks is fun, how much a risk someone is willing to take varies from person to person.

I dont partake in wheelies myself, least not intentionally. Its hard on the suspension. Got a buddy who loves em though! So, no judgement coming from me.

A Trijicon Accupoint 1-6 for the donor rifle that I will be sending to Kevin Weaver of Weaver Rifles to build into a custom 470 Capstick!
Slightly OT, but what is the recoil difference between 470 Capstick and the 470 rimmed in an double rifle?

Now, as to what did I get MYSELF for Christmas...that kind of "unauthorized" purchase will be announced AFTER Midwest's party, so I don't get annihilated if it gets leaked out! (might or might not have to do with a TC3....

Not sure, haven't gotten it yet. I did fire a 470 Capstick about 20 years ago. A person I knew had a A-Square 470 Capstick and 500 A-Square that I fired, but it's been to long to really remember.

Same thing for me as every year: all the kids, son-in-laws, and grandkids at the cabin for a few days. No better gift than that!

Sounds like the best gift of all

Don’t know if counts for me or not.
But got the boys a cupple of trapping kits.
We are over run with coons.
The for me part is me not having to mess with it.
And I want the coons gone.
Messing with my quail and turkey
I trapped for years for the same reason as you. Made me a better woodsman

I hope it helps them then.
I have been trying to get as many out door experience I can with them.
They came along late in there dads life.
And I am not in great helth
So we are trying to get the experience in to them while we can.

Hello,

I saw your post selling left hand rifles. Do you have any additional pics of the .416 Rem mag?

Thank you.
