I am constantly tinkering around with my gear but there is one area that never changes....my arrows!

For my compound i shoot:

Plains Game: Gold Tip Pro Hunter 5575's.

Dangerous Game: Grizzly Stik SAFARI

For my Recurve i shoot:

Plains Game: Carbon Express Heritage 250's and Grizzly Stik Alaskans.

I have been tempted to try some Easton Full Metal Jacket Dangerous game arrows but haven't found any at a price i like yet.

What arrow do you shoot?

I love My ACC's. I have actually used over 4 dozen on a single trip to Africa..

That sounds like one hell of a trip! Wish i was along.

Hi Tom

I am happy you got those Grizzley sticks you just might need them this year LOL.

Best Regards

I used Beman ICS carbon hunters which wiegh in at 9.1 grains per inch. With a 100 grain broadhead my total arrow weight is at 350 grains. Good enough for anything elk size and smaller.

I have always been fond of GoldTip's as they are really reliable, they are tough and fly very well. The past few years i have used the Big Game 100+ shafts which are (regardless of their straightness rating) very accurate arrows.

Be sure to check out GoldTip's new 2011 "skinny" shafts which are very much the same as Easton Axis shafts (not FMJ's), they are also available in .500, .400, .300 and .200 spines with a decent GPI throughout the range.

I hunted with Easton Excel 340, Blazer Vanes and 125 grain fixed two-bladers.
Worked very nice for my bow and me.

I shot Easton Aluminnum Superslam, Beamen ICS Hunter, Carbon Express Hunter in the past.

Now I shoot the following:

Plains Game:
- Carbon Express Maxima Hunter 350
- Gold Tip XT Hunter Shafts 75/90

Dangerous Game:
- Easton Full Metal Jacket DG 250
- Carbon Tech 70/90 Safari

Last year I used Carbon Express Maxima Hunter 350 shafts. I put on custom arrow wraps from Battledrum.com and fletched with Blazer vanes. Tipped with a 100 grain Shuttle T-lock, they seemed to do the trick.

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
