I’ve been reloading for years. Just didn’t want to spend $$$ on a 470 set up just yet.

@Andrew Short i have bought from Canada in the past. It does work, there are import costs, there are delays.

I think you made the right choice since it is a commoditized gun and the savings was diminished by all the effort.

Save up and get a heym Stateside my friend.

I agree. The savings was finished due to import costs. The process didn’t bother me but it was definitely made worse in this situation.

For future reference. I'll say this. I had a Merkel 470 awhile back and the test target said it was regulated with Federal Premium ammo. However, the Hornady factory loads shot perfectly in it. Regulation was great as well as POI.
