I am looking for one of these guns to pair up with my DR in 30-06,thanks.

You are looking for a rare gun. Only 100 of them made along with other express rifles in median bore. It will be expensive.

I have one in 270 with the original box and paper work. It was new when I purchased it. I broke it in with 10 rounds of hornady and put it away. never had a scope on it. It’s not an 06 but I figured I’d throw it out there. Good luck.

Thanks,I will keep it in mind in case I am unsuccessful finding a 30-06.

Actually they made 500 of them in 30-06.

Ok. I read some where that 100 each. I may be wrong. Last one I seen was in $1600 pre pandemic.

The rifles you are referring to are Ruger Express rifles, they came in calibers from 25-05 through .338 Win Mag. The last one I bought was a .300 Win Mag. I paid about $1250 for it about one year ago. They typically run $1500 to $2000 when you can find them. The cheapest one I have ever seen was $1000 and it was badly beat up. They only made them for 5 or 6 years or so. The 25.06 is the most rare. Very similar to the RSM, with higher end wood, sights and finish, but in smaller calibers.

300 win mag ruger express New in unfired.

I was told there were six made in 25-06. I've communicated with the guy who has 4 of them. He won't sell.

I own them in 270, 7mm rem mag, 30-06, 300 WM, and 338 win mag. I've only hunted with one of my 30-06 in Africa and one of my 300 wm deer and a trip to Africa. I thought they were great shooters, until I put a scope on the 338... that thing is fantastic! Took it to Canada for moose (secondary to the mountain goat I took) but never shot an animal with it..... yet;)

Good luck @bill73 on finding one for sale.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
