I am selling my Remington 788 chambered in .243. I purchased this a while back from a family that the owner passed away. The family said they didn't believe he ever shot it. The gun appears that way. The bluing and bore are perfect no imperfections anywhere. The filler screws are still in the receiver as they were from the factory. Stock is 99%. If there is a flaw it is from being in a safe. I was going to set the rifle up and never got around to it.
Package Includes:
- Rifle
- 2 magazines
- weaver bases still in packaging
- Free Shipping

Package Price $700.00 shipped to your ffl dealer.

Last go around before it hits GB... Anyone??

I remember my conversation with Mike Walker about the M788 when I worked for Remington. He admitted that "pound for pound, dollar for dollar" it was a better rifle than the M700. Unfortunately, it was also more expensive to make.

Great shooting rifle. So good Remington stopped manufacturing because it shot as well as the Model 700 for less money!
@ftrovato
They actually shot better than the 700 and in a lot of cases even shot better than there benchrest rifles.
They have a lock time of 2.2 milliseconds that even today most rifles struggle to match. Apparently despite their cheap price to the consumer they actually cost similar to the 700.
I have one in 222 and won't get rid of it.

@hunting Gold

If'n you rebarrel it to 358 win first for me then I will have it.
if the 243 was the last center fire on earth I would learn to use a 50 cal muzzle loader first.
