UK hunters where do you practice?

Is that West Midlands shooting ground with the TT Proctor in 375 that you refer to?

No it’s the Carlton Moor tunnel range near Ashborne, but coincidentally I’ve seen a good few TT Proctor rifles for sale there (375 and 458 Lott).

Thanks for the heads up, I had a really good chat to Mike the other day and he had a 458 Lott and a cack handed 375. I tested the Proctor 375 yesterday and have closed the deal as it is really nice.

Did you close the deal on the left handed 375 by Proctor that Mike has?

No I have bought a right handed Proctor from West Midlands Shooting Ground. I was considering two cheap CZs in 375 and 458 but I’ve blown the budget for both on the Proctor!!

Send us photos when you have it in hand. What action was the Proctor rifle built on?

It’s a Mauser 98 action with drop belly floor plate so 5+1, 23 inch barrel with barrel band sling, banded foresight and express rear sight. Stock has been glass bedded and trigger fettled. It has seen some use but it borescoped ok, no pitting, slight wear on bluing in places but generally a nice thing!
May be able to pick it up tomorrow with any luck!

Sounds like a peach! Trevor Proctor built rifles are gaining in value and hard to find. He certainly knew how to build a rifle. That left handed 375 Mike has is also a lovely gun, but I doubt he would part with it.

Well I picked the rifle up this morning and it is just as nice as I recall. The bolt runs slicker than a greased weasel and feeding is 100% with the dummy rounds that I have. The trigger breaks at 3 lbs with no creep and the balance is right between the hands just like a side by side shotgun. The stock is a touch short for me but this is immediately corrected by the slip on recoil pad.

I may have come to the party late but there are a few places about. If you are a member of BASC I would see if your local BDS has a range day. My local BDS lets you join the range day if your a BASC member or BDS member and you can shoot anything. Failing that and you dont mind a drive there is the range at Kynoch in Suffolk. Once again no energy limit and you can have the range to yourself.

Also its nice to have more UK members on the forum. When I first joined there was 2-3 and the others where VERY quite

When I was in UK I used to shoot at Bisley on a frequent basis. Contact NRA for details of which ranges are covered for heavier calibres. I know in those days the zero range was covered for .458.

You might also consider contacting the British Deer Society.

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
