As there are elephant hunts offered and sold under this title- when is a Elephant Bull also a „Trophy“ Elephant- size of trophy?
How old is he reaching this size of trophy ? ( Think this depends also on the area?)

Elephant requires a cities allocation to export from the country of origin. I “believe” the biggest definition between a trophy and non-trophy is whether it can be exported or not. Most outfitters will not target large tusk elephants on a non trophy permit. You are looking for broken tusk old bulls. But all of this is up to the outfitters and country.

To me it’s in the eye of the beholder, my PAC elephant is a trophy to me.
But you would be correct in the area, some areas produce short and thick (Botswana) some long and thinner (Eastern Africa) some of the elephant hunters I’ve talked to have different opinions, some like shorter thick tusks, some want long symmetrical tusks and some only care about the weight.

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!
